Chuck was a childhood friend and highschool buddy of my husband Sam. They spent so many weekends together growing up in Waterloo Iowa when Sam lived on Washington street and he has so many stories to tell. He was deeply grieved by Chucks passing and so grateful they got to talk a year ago thanks to his grandaughter connecting with us. I knew Chuck only briefly as a great athlete in high school but as per the wonderful photos you have shared we can see that his greatest gift of love and friendship continued to expand throughout his lifetime to family and others who were also fortunate to meet him. Our condolences to all. Sincerely Judy and Sam Quick

I met Chuck in 1995. I am honored to have met such a loving man. Chuck gave his two daughters love & support at all levels. As a witness of his special fatherly love I experienced something that I had never been raised with; true unconditional love.
I have to say my most favorite memories of Chuck were each unforgettable time seeing him with his granddaughters. The anticipated excitement Ashley & Savannah showed each time they were on their way to see their Papa was such a joyful experience for me. The look in Chucks eyes when the girls would run to him with open arms for that big Papa squeeze and their laughter makes me smile today. I can still see his big smile as he would hold his little girls tight. I was always thankful for his sweet message of appreciation for keeping his girls safe when he would pat me on my shoulder as we got to know each other.
I will always be greatful for my favorite Ford Truck that he had specially picked & sold to me. That Truck was my new freedom to a new deserved life. I cried when I traded her in last year; she was so special to me for all our road trips & memories made, because of a man I highly respected.
RIP Chuck,
Love Staci

Chuck and I worked together at Fiesta Lincoln Mercury in Mesa for almost twenty years. He was one of the best salesmen that I ever worked with. He treated each customer as a friend and appreciated them all. He was straight forward, honest and never found it necessary to lie to someone. These qualities brought him repeat customers year after year. He loved his wife, his children, his grandchildren and his great grandbabies. We loved him for the wonderful, warm, smiling friend that he was to so many of us.
Rest in Peace my friend.

Will always remember Chuck as a kind and thoughtful cousin. Remember him saying if it's your first visit to a restaurant, order the tenderloin ... can tell a lot about how it's fixed ... and I do. My daughter Kate still talks how he made her feel special when she'd eat lunch with Grandma Grace at the restaurant he managaged in Evansdale, IA. So sorry for your loss, but it's a comfort to know how much he means to other people.
