Christopher Alexander Obituary

Christopher Alexander, 24, was born April 5, 1983 in Phoenix, AZ, and
passed August 22, 2007. Chris is remembered by his parents Jack and Nanci; brother and sister-in-law Shaun and Jodi; brother Danny; aunt Susan Thomas and her family, uncle Tom Mendoza and his wife, Aunt Vicki Landon, cousins Matt, Eric and Dana and many other saddened family and friends. "Chris A", as his family called him, loved to make everyone laugh with his quick wit and big smile. He could always find the funny part of any situation and gleefully shared it with those around him. Chris was a natural athlete who excelled at all sports, much to the exasperation of his brother Shaun and anyone opposing him. Many a day was spent shouting at the TV while watching the New York Yankees or Notre Dame Football and he was always ready for a beach trip to California or a trip to the river with the gang. Chris really loved his dogs. We all miss him terribly and can't imagine a world without him. We love you Chris A. A viewing will be held from 5-7 pm with a service at 7 pm on Saturday, August 25, Bunkers University Chapel, 3529 E. University Dr., Mesa. Remember Chris with a huge smile on his face, his beloved Yankee hat on his head, a baseball bat in his hand, and when you do, smile.

Dear Nanci, Danny and family,
It's been years since our sons, Brandon and Danny played soccer together. I remember how proudly you spoke of your boys and their natural talents as athletes. May you find comfort in knowing that Chris touched many people's lives. In time, may you find peace.

I am so, so sorry for your loss and wish I had more than prayers, tears, and heartfelt sorrow to offer you. I remember Chris as a young, curious, and sometimes serious little boy - he was in my first kindergarten class. I haven't seen Chris since leaving Ocotillo Elementary, but he has stayed in my memory all these years. To this day I still tell stories about my adventures as a kindergarten teacher, and Chris is a part of those stories. This year marks my twentieth as an educator, and kids like Chris have made such a difference in my life - probably more than I did in theirs. I am so, so sorry for your loss.

Sincerely,
Kim Rimbey, Kindergarten Teacher
