Christopher Brewer Obituary

Brewer, Christopher Brady
Christopher Brady Brewer was born on September 23, 1996 and was reunited with the Lord on November 30, 2010. He will be remembered by all for his caring personality, charismatic smile, exceptional wit and the love in his heart for those he came in contact with. Regardless of place, Christopher had a great ability to make friends with complete strangers and engage in conversation easily. Loving family members left behind are his parents Heith and Julie Brewer, brothers Brian and Nicholas, grandparents Harold and Tamara Brewer, Melvin and Stephanie Campbell, great-grandmothers Melva Brewer and Gloria Campbell and a large number of loving aunts, uncles and cousins. The viewing will be held Wednesday, Dec. 8 from 6-8 PM at Bunker's Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa. The service will be held Friday, Dec. 10 at 10 AM at the LDS chapel at 464 E. 1st Ave, Mesa. Donations can be made to the "Christopher Brewer Memorial Fund", Wells Fargo Bank and Wachovi.

As I buy go about preparing for Christmas morning, I am reminded that your family will not have you with them on Christmas morning and my heart is full of sorrow and my eyes, with tears. Your family and friends miss you, sweet boy. But your mommy and daddy will especially feel that you are gone this Christmas morning. I promise to pray for their comfort and ask that you visit them from Heaven that day even if it's just in a beautiful sunrise or a little raindrop. Merry Christmas, Chris.

Dear Heith, Julie, Brian & Nicky,
We are so sorry for your loss. We will miss Chris' smiling face in our kitchen. He was always a pleasure to have over and lit up the room when he talked. I only wish our time with him hadn't been so short. I hope he knew how much we enjoyed his company.

Chris, you were always such a hilarious guy. You could always make everyone laugh. You were an awesome person and I'll miss not seeing you and your "Poke Me" shirt every day. I remember you would always walk by our class in PE and say "Hey Mrs. Haney! I'm her favorite student!" You would always give everyone knuckles. I will never forget you, and all the memories, and neither will anyone else. God help your family and bless your soul.

Brewer Family:
I imagine there is no pain more far-reaching and deeper than losing a child. My heart and prayers go out to you at this most difficult time.
Life does not make sense and losing someone as young and loving as Christopher is tragic. I am very sorry for your loss.

The service was beautiful. Everyone that spoke filled the room with emotions of heartache, joy and love. Chris will be missed and remembered fondly.

December 10, 2010

A Child Loaned
"I'll lend you for a little time
A child of Mine." He said.
"For you to love the while he lives
And mourn for when he's dead.
It may be six or seven year
Or twenty-two or three
But will you, till I call him back
Take care of him for Me?
He'll bring his charms to gladden you
And should his stay be brief,
You'll have his lovely memories
As solace for your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay
Since all from Earth return,
But there are lessons taught down there
I want the child to learn.
I've looked this wide world over
In my search for teachers true,
And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes,
I have selected you;
Now will you give him all your love,
Nor think the labor vain
Nor hate Me when I come to call
And take him back again?
I fancied that I heard them say,
"Dear Lord, They will be done,
For all the joy Thy child shall bring,
For the risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shelter him with tenderness,
We'll love him while we may,
And for the happiness we've known,
Forever grateful stay.
But should the angels call for him
Much sooner than we planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes
And try to understand."

Heith and Julie,

I am heartbroken to hear of your loss. I can only imaginge the pain you are feeling right now. I am thankful for the memories of the camping trip we went on years ago and to have known the sense of adventure, fearlessness and spirit that little Christopher had at such a young age. Let this continue to live on in you as he would want it no other way.

Christopher,

You are a young man that is going to missed by all. Living across the street from your family for the past 6 years we had the opportunity to watch you grow into a fine young man, one that could relate to younger children as well as adults. It was always with a laugh and a smile and the offer to lend a helping hand.
We'll miss you

To the Brewer family
We are so thankful to the Lord for the time he allowed Chris to be with you here on earth. Remember always the joy that was in his heart had and his laughter. He was quick to make a joke and was always a helpful son and brother. We were so glad to see how close and friendly your family was when you first moved in next door. I know it is hard to understand the will of God in times like this , but I know he has his reasons for taking Chris to be with him. Be strong for Brian and Nick. We will miss you Chris. Gaurd your parents hearts from heaven.

Chris,
You were such a nice and giving person. You've lived right down the street from me since I've lived here, and every summer when I was feeling the most lonely you would stop by and say hi. You were the best friend, classmate, student and person ever. I can't stop myself from having flashback memories of you. Rest in peace Chris, and I hope that you know how much everybody loves you. I'm going to miss not hearing your hilarious jokes in class.

Chris,
You so impressed us with your knowledge of WWII, in fact you knew of events in that war I'd never heard of, your love of history amazed me. I will miss talking with you when ever you would haved visited our son, Robb and his family, we enjoyed our dinner with you and enjoyed the stories Robb would tell us about yup boys at deer camp & hauling a deer skulliten back to camp. You were more special to so many folks that will miss you. I know I Joyce M Getts will see you in heaven one day. God only knows why you went home to eternity to live with him. You have a much better life than we do here on earth, for Jesus promised .... " I will go prepare a place for you", me, you, your parents, brothers, if only we trust Jesus as our savior, invite him into our heart and ask forgiveness of our sins. Salom Christopher this world will miss you.

1 Thess 4:16-18 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words. NIV

May these words bring you hope and peace as they have for me

I know Chris is watching. I know he sees how many people loved him, still do, always will. Someday we will have a great reunion with Chris and he will tell us all about his new adventures!! Mitch misses you, Chris. You made him laugh a lot and he said you were smart and funny! He liked hanging out with you. You leaving too early has changed him--and all of us. I want to hold my children just a little closer. I wish I had hugged YOU, too, and gotten to know you just a little better. We promise to pray everyday for your family to be comforted. We love you, Chris.

Christopher, you will always be one of my favorite offensive and defensive linemen! Coach Robb and I called you Buffalo for a reason... The ability to get in there and be an animal was a pleasure to watch and even more fun to coach. Off the field, you made us laugh and sparked conversation no matter what the situation was. I loved the fact that you talked my ears off and helped lighten my mood on several occassions. You will be forever missed and loved! I can't wait to coach you again!
