Minner, Clyde Eugene "Gene"
passed away March 9, 2011 in Phoenix, AZ. One month before his 86th birthday. Born in Artesia, CA April 9, 1925, he served in the Navy 1943-46, then resided in Bellflower, CA for 34 yrs prior to moving to Mesa, AZ. Gene and his wife of 44 years, Willene Minner, have been residences of Apache Wells Country Club for 29 years. Gene enjoyed golfing, motor homing , family, sports and socializing. He was known to family and friends as 'The Great White Hunter". He hunted every deer season for over 50 years in Arizona, Utah, and Colorado. He never knew a stranger, always had time to talk to anyone and everyone. Gene is survived by his wife, Willene, Mesa, AZ; son Jerry Minner, CA., son Bobbie Minner daughter-in-law Renee', CA; step-daughter Linda Osburn , son-in-law Ron, AZ. ; aunt, Hazel Richards, CA. Gene had 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Granddaughters Beky Medina, CA, Cassaundra Hein, CO., Shannon Manly, KY., Brandy Pinder, NY.: Grandsons, Tim Minner, Jacob Minner, Matthew Minner, Dan Osburn and Kurt Osburn, all reside in CA. Great granddaughters; Ashley Medina, Stefanie Osburn, Kasey Osburn, Houston Osburn, all of CA., Kaylee Hein of CO.; Elizabeth Ann Manly, KY. Great grandsons Richard Medina and Wyatt Osburn, CA. and Jeremiah Hein, CO. Gene had suffered Alzheimer's for last 5 years. No services will be held. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Hospice Serenity House Unit 4122 N. 17th Street Phoenix Arizona 85016 in Gene Minner name. His smiles, gentle nature and friendliness will be greatly missed.
