Dagmar Podmanik Obituary
Dagmar, 59, the deeply loved mother and friend of her son Milos, lost her life to Leukemia on June 8, 2011, in Mesa, AZ. She was a brave and wonderful woman who could always make you laugh, especially when you didn't want to. She could make beautiful flowers grow where the soil appeared impossible to cultivate. She would always be quick to invite you into her home and would be excited to cook a wonderful traditional meal that couldn't be matched. Dagmar was born in Czechoslovakia and moved to the U.S. to bring her son to a country with hope and opportunity. She is survived by her mother, three younger brothers, sister, son, and unborn granddaughter, Adelyn. She will be profoundly missed and always remembered. She brought a special sparkle to our lives. Her beauty, humor and spunk brought light on a dull moment. Even mashing a huge pot of potatoes became fun when she was around! She will be deeply missed; she is in our hearts forever. Love is immortal.

Dagmar will surely be missed at our family gatherings. She was always upbeat, never complaining and a good cook. Such a classy lady. May her memory live forever in our hearts. Dagmar was such a wonderful person. Eveytime I was around her at a family event, she was the life of the party. She was so full of joy, and you couldn't help smiling when around her. I'm just sorry that I won't have the opportunity to be around her fun-loving spirit. My deepest sympathy to Milos and Joni. May you hold close all your wonderful memories of her. Love, Margie

Dagmar was such a beautiful woman..and dang she could dance!! I just met her the one time at Milos and Joni's wedding...but she made me laugh the entire evening; I will always cherise the fun she exploded around her that evening. My thoughts and prayers are with her lovely family. Love always..Jules
