Gilmore, David M.
David M Gilmore born North Adams, MA 02/10/36 and passed 08/17/14 in company of his son & daughter. He was 78 years old. Pre-deceased by his parents Paul Revere Gilmore, Lucina Piantoni Gilmore and his sister Patricia Gilmore Berasi. Attended Drury High School; "the Drury Comet" captain of ski, gymnastics and track teams. Won state outdoor 440 yard and indoor 600 yard track records at Boston Garden that stand today. United States Army veteran retiring as Command Sergeant Major. Lived in Nashua, NH for 30 years and earned a BBA from Rivier College. Worked as principle engineer RCA, Sanders, Honeywell, and Kollsman. In retirement he vol
unteered for American Legion post 29, Glendale AZ, proud member of the Honor Guard. He had a life-long passion for riding motorcycles. He is survived by his son David M. Gilmore Jr, his wife Renae of San Diego CA, and his daughter Diana M. Gilmore of Martha's Vineyard MA, three grand-daughters: Maisie Gilmore Jarrell, Isabella Gilmore and Sofia Gilmore. Survived by his sister Sally Hynes and was a unique Uncle to his nephews and nieces. He will forever remain in the hearts of many of his friends. David's love of life and passion second only to his children and grandchildren he will eternally remain in their hearts.

David and I ran together at Drury and recently found each other miles aaprt and back conversation. Great! What a journey. You are missed David and thank you for the run.

Dave and I served on the post #29 honor Guard and helped put many veterans to rest. He was a good and dedicated member. I'll miss him.
