During Dave's early years in detention one of the inmate's nicknamed him "Monster"! Of course we fellow officers never let him forget it and the nickname stuck. Dave always took our jesting with a chuckle. Rest in Peace Dave. Prayers to the family.

I started my career at MCSO with Dave in April of 1990 at the training academy at the Durango Jail. Over the next 26 years I worked with Dave in Central Intake, ran into him when he was transporting inmates around the jails along with the occasional surprise to call somewhere and have Dave answer the phone. As I said I started my career with Dave and found myself working with him in SIMS at the end, a good guy and friend you'll be missed.
