Dearest Suzie, Ernie, and Kim,

I haven't seen Dax since he was a little boy, but it sounds like he grew into such a great person and friend from reading all these entries. We may be separated by distance, but know that your family back in the hills loves you and is keeping you in their prayers.

Love,

Lisa

My deepest sympathy goes out to all of Dax's family.I wish you comfort and peace, knowing how very many lives Dax touched in his few years on Earth. I met Dax through my daughter, Brianne, and loved him from the day I met him. He and Brianne joked about being married, but I truly would have loved to have had Dax as a son-in-law. He was darling in every way. I just want you to know that I am thinking of you during this sorrowful time and hoping you find comfort in the precious memories you have.

Dax,

I wept today at your final resting place, I'm not quite sure what makes a man cry like I did. I want to say it's because I was sad for you, but I think I was sad for us that are remaining. I watched as all your friends and family mourned thier loss and realised what an amazing person you really were and how fortunate I was to have known you. While I walked behind your procession It began to sink in that you were truly gone, how I missed the opportunity to know you truly and how much you meant to me really. Thank you Dax for being more man than me, Thank you Dax for accepting me for who I was, and Thank you Dax for showing me a better way to be. You graced me with your kindness and I didn't quite understand why you liked me and now I know, you were the kind of man we should all be.

I miss you Dax.

With Love,

Erik

What an incredible person Dax was! I can't say that I knew Dax "well" but I hung out with him several times many years ago and would see him "out" from time to time. He ALWAYS had a smile on his face and a nice thing to say. This world has lost a great guy.

My deepest condolences go out to Dax's family, friends, and especially his little girl!

Dax...you already knew how much everyone loved you just by the way we interacted with one another. I dont think I will ever be able to find the words to ease your families pain but I do know that we all miss you very much. we wish we could have given you one last hug or kiss before you were called home for a greater cause than any of us will know until we are there with you. I miss you and I thank you for all the good times and just for being you. Ill never forget when you walked into my closet to leave thinking it was my front door. you always made me laugh. My love and concern for the family and little Tori. Your dad is now your angel. God bless

Dax... Funny. Light-hearted. Father. Handsome. Charming. Funny! "Sorry, Dax. I don't need to buy a new car."

Charismatic. Energetic.

"Yes, let's hang out. No! I don't want to buy a Honda!"

Leader. Impressive. Influential.

I love you. I should have told you more.

Your friend, Summer

Dear Kim, Tresha & Ernie:

All of you are in my prayers asking for help in getting through this sorrowful time.

Dax worked for me at the Mesa Fairfield Inn and I can honestly say that he was the most pleasant, happy and respectful person I have ever had the opportunity to meet. I am honored to have known him.

I hope all of the wonderful memories get you through this time and give you peace in knowing that you will one day see him again.

Sincerely,

Renee Bearden
