Dean Hyland Obituary

Dean Frederick Hyland, of Anthem, Arizona died Sunday, January 18, 2004, at Banner Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix. Born April 26, 1951 in Owatonna, MN, Dean graduated from Owatonna High School in 1969. He attended Bemidji State University graduating in 1976 with a degree in art and commercial art. Dean married Karen Ledin of Superior, Wisconsin, on August 28, 1992, and they moved to Phoenix later that year. Dean was a gifted artist whose work included a wide variety of subjects and materials. He also enjoyed hunting, and fishing in his youth; and more recently, traveling, and spending time with his family and pets. Dean is survived by his wife, Karen Ledin of Anthem; his father Anthony Hyland of Owatonna; two brothers, Wayne from Willmar, MN and Lynn from Kalamazoo, MI; and seven nephews, and ten nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Hyland. A time for remembering and celebrating Dean's life will be held at his home in Anthem on February 14, 2004 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to attend.

I was looking through the Superior newspaper on-line for information about Central that they are tearing down and I came across your mother's obituary and also noticed your husband had passed away as well. I wanted to express my condolences from an old friend. Not sure if you know me by Burke, I used to be Dinkel.
