The Bromstead's lived across the street in Kenosha growing up. Being the younger sister, I would always want to play with Debbie and my sister. We would play Simon Says, Kick the Stick and Statue Maker...the create your own fun days before video games. Debbie and her mom would always sew. One summer she taught me how to make a blue top, a first for me while listening to tunes like Rolling Stones. And the B's always had Girls Scout cookies around. Fond memories that now have created a sad ending for such a happy person who left too soon.

My deepest sympathies to Debbie's family and friends on hearing of her passing. Debbie lived just down the street from me on 35th Avenue in Kenosha and we would walk to school (Lance Jr High) everyday. Debbie and I lost contact after graduation, but I did think of her occasionally. As a member of the Tremper Class of '77 Alumni Committee, it is with great sadness that I remove Debbie from the data base. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Scott and Family,

I heard the voice of Jesus say,
"Come unto me and rest;
Lay down your head upon my breast."
I came to Jesus as I was,
so weary, worn, and sad;
I found in him a resting place,
and he has made me glad.

I am very saddened to hear of the passing of Debbie. I have very fond, albiet long ago, memories of growing up with her in Kenosha. The neighborhood teaming with more kids on two blocks than a school could hold. Nights playing kick the stick, afternoons eating apples under the trees while reading books, ice skating at Roosevelt Park. Debbie always had a smile on her face and was ready for fun. Thinking of her has brought a smile to my face, but also a tear in my eye for those she has left behind. My sincere sympathy to you all. I will say a prayer for Debbie and all of you.
