Deborah Winschel Obituary

Winschel, Deborah Lynn
Deborah Lynn (Beal) Winschel, 55, of Surprise, Arizona died 4:00 pm April 18, 2010 at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix with family members at her side. Debbie was born August 10, 1954 at St. Josephs Hospital in Phoenix and was the youngest of six children born to John Russell Beal (1909-1969) and Ova Pearl (McNabb) Beal (1916-2006). Deborah Lynn Beal married Timothy John Winschel May 6, 1978 at St. Simon and Jude in Phoenix. Debbie and Tim have three children: Jennifer, Ryan, and Kendra. Debbie graduated from Washington High School in 1972 and attended Metro Tech to achieve her LPN. She worked at many medical facilities during her years of nursing service, including over 15 years with the fine staff at North Mountain Medical Center. Her medical colleagues remember her as one of the most skilled and caring nurses they've known in their career. She trained many nurses in the Phoenix area, so her footprint in the local medical community will be felt for many years to come. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents and two infant siblings, Dorothy Elizabeth Beal in 1951 and John Russell Beal, Jr. in 1953. Debbie is survived by her husband Tim and her children Jennifer, Ryan, and Kendra, all of Surprise; grandson Skylar Noorlag and granddaughter Layla Farias; sisters Pamela A. Burkhardt of Gilbert and Judith B. Porter (Jim) of Phoenix; brother Gary L. Beal (Janet) of Phoenix; nieces Robyn S. (Burkhardt) Griffith (Don), Wendy L. (Beal) Thompson (Brad), Jodi L. (Beal) Gerressen (Hans); nephews Scott C. Porter (Donna), Will R. Burkhardt (Michelle), Gary L. Beal, Jr., Joshua M. Loos (Angela); and many grandnephews and grandnieces. Debbie is also survived by fellow nurses and devoted friends Mindy Dillar and Rhonda Burcham, as well as her long-time friend Sandy Manny, who all supported and sustained her during her valiant fight with cancer. Visitation will be held at the Best Funeral Chapel, 501 E. Dunlap Avenue in Phoenix, on Friday, April 23, 2010 from 4:00-7:00pm with a memorial service immediately following at 7:00pm. Donations may be made in Debbie's name to the Phoenix affiliate of Susan B. Komen for the Cure.

Aunt Debbie, I want you to know that you were such a wonderful Aunt to me. I truly felt the love from you. I am sure you know I have been diagnosed with breast cancer. It is not the rare type that you endured yet never the less it is frightening. I will be going to Mayo Clinic tomorrow for 2nd opinions and I will be thinking of you while I am there. I love you Aunt Debbie and your spirit and Grandma's spirit will see me through this.

I cannot tell you how much Debbie is missed by all of her family and friends. She was my youngest sister and I knew her as a warm, wonderful, loving person.

First in her life were,her husband Tim, her children Jennifer, Ryan and Kendra, her grantchildren, Skylar and Layla whom she loved more than life itself. Second, were all of family and friends who she loved too. Thirdly, she loved nursing and cherised each moment she spent working and training others. Her co-workers were special to her in ways we are only beginning to understand.

Each day that passes without her leaves a void that can only be filled by memories of days past. She was always there for any of her family or friends who needed her. I love her and will miss her until we meet again in Heaven where I know she is with our Mom, Dad and baby brother and sister.

I love you alway, Pam

Wife,Mother,Grandmother, and to all friends who knew and worked with Debbie.

" Will remain in our Hearts forever"

Since I lost my wife ,and the kids lost there mother to" METAPLASTIC SARCOMATOID BREAST CANCER" I want to say Thank You , to Rhonda B and Mindy D, (RICHARD) which was her close friends and co-workers "NORTH MOUNTAIN REHAB}
for many years and to all to all the medical staff of Dell Webb Hospital, and especially Mayo Clinic and Hospital and to all doctors there are so many (DR.FITCH,POCKAS,CASEY, PRRMER), and may more.
Debbie had helped people and taken care of them as far back as I can remember. She touched the lives of everyone she knew.
I want to thank these Doctors they are all Gifted and they kept her alive and tried to cure her of that Deadly Disease (CANCER). Yes there will be a cure for all the different terminal cancers and they get closer and closer everyday.
Debbie and I met when we were 14 yrs old we dated and got married and stuck with each other for 42 yrs, Yes she did put up with me that long. :) Well the last night in Mayo hosp, I broke down when I saw her lying there. Well all of a sudden she grabbed that oxygen mask pulled it off and yelled in a loud voice you have to be strong for kids etc. Whoa I turned around and we both hugged and laughed together for the last time. You know when we loose someone We Love,It seems that time stops, but time goes on new children are born in this world and we have to make it safer and stop all the bickering from country to country and make it pleasent for them as we wanted for ourselves. and especially the (GREED in so many peoples lives). Debbie was very strong and had a strong will to live most people would not have made it as far as she did. But God saw she was getting very tired and a cure was not to be. I think that is when he put his arms around her and told her "COME TO ME".Our eyes were very tearful as I held your hand and wrist, until your last pulse stopped. Thats when I knew you were gone and you were now with JESUS CHRIST in heaven. I will cherish the memories of the time we spent together.When I wake every morning I will know Debbie, when I asked you why this happens and you told me there is a reason that we are not to know right now. And when it is my time to pass on, I know you will be in heaven waiting for me and once again we will hold hands together, and walk down that road to Paradise in heaven and when those gates open Jesus and his Mother (MARY) will say "COME TO US" life on earth is over.

Thanks to all the medical staff , co-workers,dearest friends,family, for the Love and support that you have given.

Husband,
Tim Winschel

Today I'm thinking of you,
The loss of my special friend.
Those who have never had a chance to know you.
Cannot possibly comprehend.
You gave me unconditional love and friendship
Nothing else can quite replace;
A sweet presence with warmth,
That lovable, one-of-a-kind face.
Will live on forever in another place.

My GOD carry your family until we all meet again
