My family - Turners, Costons, Douglass State Bank will long remember Don Evans. He was an integral part of our family. Anytime there was a floral arrangement needed: whether prom, funeral, congratulations, Don and Family were there with their originality and in a timely manner. I remember on the 18th of February 2005 - He personally came to St. Peter CME Church to place the family spray on my husband's (Richard Turner Jr.) casket. That meant so much. I was saddened to hear of his battle with cancer and prayed. May God continue to bless the Evans family - especially his wife. I know what it is to be a widow. Always remember the good memories and smile. Hugs and Love to all
Keep your father's dream alive. Toni Turner and Richard Turner III

Well, I have heard of all those good things about Don and Ron, and I grew up next door to them and had to fight with them and their sister Maribell many times. It was wonderful growing up with Don and Ron and the Evans family. We lived next door to them for many years. I attended JUCO with Ron, and ordered many flowers from Don. Their brothers and sisters are all really neat people. I know you are missing Don very much. I will be unable to attend the services, but wanted to express my condolences for the loss of a truly.. GENTLE MAN...

Don was a fine man and I'm lucky to have known him. He pased his good character on to his son Mike whom I also had the pleasure of knowing. I'm sorry for your loss.

When our boys started school at old Muncie Christian and I was involved with the "Mom's Club," I was told to always order flowers from Don Evans--and over the years, I have done just that whenever flowers were needed. I have always been impressed with everyone there--from the one who answered the phone, the staff in the shop, the arrangements and even help one day when I locked my keys in my car! It is evident that your business is run on integrity. Your dad is proud, I know, and so is the Lord. God bless the Evans family and we pray you take comfort in the love that lasts forever.

I've known the Evans Family since the day I was born, we lived next door to each other. No one could create more beautiful flower arrangements than Don and now I depend on Mike and Mark and they do the same. My thoughts and prayers are with Dorothy and their children. God Bless.

We grew to know the Evans through Mike who married our niece, and subsequently Mike and Debbie's wonderful daughters Brooke and Mindy. Don and his family have served all our floral needs for years and we extend our sincere sympathy to the family.

My dad was a customer as far back as I can remember (the business was started when I was 2 mos. old) and I have been a customer as well for my entire adult life. I will continue to buy flowers from the boys as long as they sell them. My dad, husband and I were saddened to read of his passing. His floral arrangements were always the most beautiful. My co-workers continue to rave over them when I receive them.

I was saddened to read of the passing of Mr. Evans. His name and the caring quality work he gave to Kansas City are well known to all who live here. He taught his boys well as they have carried on his name and tradition throughout the community. We went to them when our own mother passed in 2004, because we wanted it done right. Keep your memories close to you and know he's gone to a better place, free of pain and illness.
