Donald Lampe Obituary
Donald Edward Lampe beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away September 26, 2012. He is survived by his wife Nancy, sons Tom, Larry and daughter Debbie, also five grandchildren. He also is survived by his sister Eva Gonyer, five nieces, nephews and many friends in Minnesota. Donald was born on August 12, 1931 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He served four years in the Navy. After the military service he worked 24 years at Ohlinger Industries as purchasing manager and was well liked by all employees and staff. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Camino del Sol Funeral Chapel located at 13738 Camino del Sol, Sun City West, AZ 85375. Time of viewing is 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A military funeral service will be held for Donald at Fort Snelling, Minnesota at a later date.

My Darling, Today is your 12th anniversary of your passing, a day that I have never forgotten. Every day reminds me of the wonderful memories we shared together for 56 years.
It seems my time is running short and I will be joining you for eternity soon. Forever together. I'm trying very hard to get better, but my body is tired and I just want to sleep. Family is keeping watch over me and taking care of me in my time of need. They have been great to me and I could not ask for more.

Good Morning Love, So much has happened over the last month I'm not sure where to start. I was in the hospital for two weeks with kidney failure and bladder cancer. I'm just not sure how long I have on this earth but I know you will be waiting for me. I have missed you ever so much every day.
Family has been wonderful and helping me with everything which I am so grateful for. I am heartbroken as my dear Prince passed away while I was in the hospital. He was my true companion for over 15 years, always by my side every where I went. He was Mama's boy and so loyal to me. I am trying very hard to get stronger, enjoy family and do a few things. All I can do is take one day at a time and hope for the best. I wish I had better news but you need to know what has been going on. I love you endlessly. Dear Dad,
"HAPPY HEAVENLY BIRTHDAY!!!!" I know this is late as your birthday was yesterday. But I guess up there in Heaven time isn't relevant. No matter it's been a while since I posted on your special Legacy page. I know you would have turned 92 yesterday and you have been gone now almost 13 years. Those numbers just don't seem real to me as it seems just like yesterday that we had to say goodbye to you. I miss being able to send you a card and something special for your birthday. I miss a lot of things about you always. I sometimes think about how much you would love coming up here where I live and the fun we could have had catching some big fish on the lake up here. But I still have many good memories of doing those very things together with you and so many other fun things. The hole that is there from your loss will never heal or go away. It is just something you learn to live with everyday. Today is a very sad day without you. This is the day Wednesday and the date the 26th that you suddenly left me. I remember so well as you were so happy to see me home from the hospital. We hugged and kissed and told me how much you loved me. I was incredibly happy and so were you. You went to rest in your chair after dinner holding little Prince in your lap and you said to me, Look Nan at Prince with me. Your eyes lit up really bright and you had that beautiful smile I always loved. I went to take a shower and when I got back I thought you were sleeping but instead the angels took you away from me. Dear Dad,
It seems like yesterday that God called you away up to Heaven. But here it is nine years now since you have been gone. I cannot believe I have had to live everyday since without you. Everyone of those days I have thought of you in some way. Everyone of those days I have missed you in my life. There are times when I think it sure would be nice If I could just ask Dad about this or that or just chat with you and hear your stories or just talk about things that Father's and Son's talk about.
