Mr. Mark is my first tutor and first true American friend since my family and I have moved to here from China. Since May 20, 2008 I have been his student, as my English teacher, the things that Mr. Mark taught me were not limited to language. In the class twice a week, he and I discussed the history, the culture, the custom, the religion, the families, the occupation with me, even diet and recipes. In his conversation, he had showed me his lofty character that is kindness, compassion, and readiness to help. I also have learned he has a positive attitude towards life.
I remembered, one day he initiative spoke that his family had moved to Arizona from the eastern part for his daughter's health, and how they started a new life in here. Afterward, I only understood that the objective which he tells his experiences is to encourage me, because he knew that my family just arrived the U.S from China, we are attempting a new life in this strange place.
Mr. Mark is a nice person who is like this careful and sincerity!
I will always remember this wonderful time I studied follow him.
In the Chinese tradition, we usually said that a teacher who teaches me just for one day is like father for a whole life. It means people honor the teacher and respect his teachings. Mr. Mark deserves the respect of this.

Hello from the region of South Bend, Indiana, the home of Don Mark. This is not where I met Don, though. I was honored to 1st meet and work with Don at Motorola in Scottsdale in the early 80's. From supervisor to long-time friend, Don was consistent to his dedication to Christ and fellow man. Family was his 1st priority. I remember his "family jewels" picture cube on his desk at work. To Mary and the rest of Don's family, we have so many good memories, and we share your loss. "Weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning" (Psalm 30:5). May God bless you all.

Don was my good friend and mentor. I met Don in 1980 when I started working at Motorola GEG. He was the most kind and gentle person I have ever known. Don and Mary were a loving couple. They always greeted me at their home with warm hospitality. Don was a firm believer in volunteerism. He was proud to be an English tutor for foreign students and proundly introduced one of his Chinese students to me once. I am blessed to have Don as my friend and mentor.

I will always remember Don as a devoted, committed Christian. While at Scottsdale Presbyterian Church , you could always count on Don! He reflected the light of Christ in so many ways.

I worked with Don at Motorola on several projects, and he taught me much about design analysis and the use of computers. I am richer for knowing Don as he was a perfect gentleman and wonderful guy to know. I will always have those fond memories of yesteryear with Don. Condolences to the family as he will me missed by all.

I shared the same office with Don @ Motorola for many years. [the vault] Don is a WW2 (I believe) veteran. We spent a lot time together @ work. We enjoyed his hospitality @his home, too. Now how I wish I had spent more time with Don after Motorola. I missed his companionship and guidance in life. I went to Mass this morning and said a little prayer for Don. I hope I can be with Don, once again,....in Lord's Heaven. John Fan, Ph. D. with love

I believe that I met Don in October of 1965 at Motorola. We worked together until Don retired and were still friends after that. I am ashamed to admit that I haven't seen Don in many years, but my wife and I talk about him quite frequently. I had the opportunity to be a member of two Optimist Clubs of which Don was also a member. He donated his time freely to many community projects. I also had the opportunity to spend time at Don and Lorraine's home in Scottsdale many times as a guest of theirs. Marvelous hosts. They spent time at our new home in Mesa in 1987. I could go on and on about the good times spent with Don and on occasion most of his family. May God bless you all during the hard times that you are now facing without him. I know that Don is at peace now, right there with our Lord and Maker.
