Donald Prusakowski Obituary

Prusakowski, Donald Edward
Don found peace on May 8, 2014 after a long battle with melanoma cancer. He was born in Buffalo, New York on September 14, 1934 to Edward and Cecilia Prusakowski (both deceased) where he resided until 1957. After serving in the army and marrying his childhood sweetheart, together they moved to Phoenix. He was a wonderful salesperson and started ALL Lighting Products, which his son Chris expanded into a thriving company. Don was president of the Bola Tie Society of Arizona for many years. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sylvia; his son Chris, daughter-in-law Annie; grandson Nikolai; bother Paul (Mary Ann, deceased); brother-in-law David Mazurek (Arlene); many special nieces and nephews and their children. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 17, at 11 am at A. L. Moore-Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W Bethany Home Rd, Phoenix, AZ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the veterans' organization Boots for Our Troops, P.O. Box 4402, Huachuca City, AZ 85616
(www.bfotaz.org) or charity of your choice. Miss me... but let me go. Please send tributes and condolences to www.ALMoore-Grimshaw.com.

Sylvia and Chris, I am so sorry to her of Don's passing. I liked and admired him immensely. I have missed seeing him since he retired. He had a knack for telling interesting stories of his life. He was a wealth of information and seems to have passed on lots of his business positivity and experience to Chris. May you be comforted by all of the precious memories you have of him.

I first met Don less than 10 years ago through the Bola Tie Society. Throughout that time, he was always a good and decent man, friendly, warm and sincere with a firm handshake, a pleasant smile and very often, a wry quip that started off with "Crackers ...." I thank him for his service to our Country. He will be missed. R.I.P., Big Guy. ~ Vinny Ruggiero
