Dorothy Lindman Obituary

Dorothy V. Lindman, 86, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on January 4, 2007. Dorothy was born on Feb. 28, 1920 in Duluth, MN and grew up in Rockford, IL where she met and married her lifetime love, Ernest F. Lindman. Dorothy was a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved to entertain friends and family alike. Her door was always open and something wonderful was always in the oven. Dorothy was a member of Baltic Swedish Lodge in Rockford, IL, served on Altar Guild at Salem Lutheran Church in Rockford and La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church in Scottsdale. Dorothy was Past President of the Jenny Lind Auxiliary of Swedish American Hospital in Rockford and managed the Jenny Lind Tea Room. Dorothy was also a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, a Swedish American Hospital volunteer and had been named volunteer of the year at Salem Lutheran. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents Victor and Hanna Berglund, her brother Carl, sister Bernice as well as her husband of 60 years Ernest F. Lindman and her son David Paul Lindman. Dorothy is survived by her daughters Dawn Seagren of Scottsdale, Debra Lindman-Leckner of Pukekohe, New Zealand, son-in- law Mark Leckner and grandchildren Kristin Seagren, Zane Leckner and Olivia Leckner. A Memorial Service will be held at La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church, 6300 E. Bell Rd., Scottsdale, on Thursday January 11th at 3:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of the Valley. Arrangements by Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary.

My Mother was an awesome woman, wonderful Mom, loving daughter, caring sister, devoted wife and loyal friend. Those that knew her will miss her constant enthusiasm for life.
