Dr. Joseph S. Habros, passed away, Monday, November 11, 2013, at the age of 78. Joseph was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him. His strength in life is only matched by his kindness and love to all, especially his wife and family. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 53 years, Ellie, and his children; daughter, Toni-Marie (Clymer), sons Joseph, Michael (Jayne), Robert (Sandra), and Jeffrey (Tracey); grandchildren Chris (Sandy), Brittany, Ashley, Sean (Jen), Jay, Maggie, Kate, Audrey, Georgia, Tommy, Dillon, and Hannah (Jeff); great-grandchildren Christian Ethan and Nathan; brother Ron (Addie) and his loving family. Joseph will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Joseph moved his family to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1977 and has been a practicing physician here the last 36 years. He will be missed by colleagues and patients alike. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 18, 2013 from 6-8pm at Messinger Indian School Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Maria Goretti Church on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 11am. A burial will follow at Paradise Memorial Gardens.

I just found out about your loss last week. I was a patient of Dr Habros for almost a year and I am going to miss him as he was one of the best Dr's I ever had. My Heart goes out to his family and Friends. I'll will miss Dr Habros the rest of my Life. This Wonderful Doctor/Man listened to my concerns and took my pain away after MANY other Doctors failed. I have had many doctors, but the most finest and greatest doctor I ever knew was Dr. Habros. He took very good care of me and I honestly felt that he really, really cared immensely for his patients including me. I loved him like a daughter loves her father, for he truly was a special man. I will miss him and his laugh including our talks. I will cherish them forever. God bless him and his wonderful family, for if I am missing him already - I can only imagine the pain they are suffering... For a trumpet will sound and all those in the death tombs will arise! I was so shocked to hear that Dr Habros had passed away. He was so kind and caring a truly compassionate Doctor and person. Dr. Habros and Toni felt like family always going out of their way to help others. I was in surgery on the day of his services and so sorry I was not able to attend. I still can't believe that I will never see him again. The world just feels different knowing that he is not here. He was the best Dr. ever! So kind, patient, understanding, all the things many Drs. are lacking. I always looked forward to his office visits. It was like visiting family because Toni has all the fine qualities of her dad. Dr. Habros had been my RA Dr. since moving to Prescott in 2000. I was In 2 of his RA trials and am currently in the maintainence program .
He often spoke of his grandchildren and inquired about about mine. The last time we spoke he talked about the early days of his practice and about how He was looking forward to CHRISTMAS! We will sincerely miss him.

Dr. Habros has been my rheumatologist for 21 years. Early on, he and Toni became like family. He was incredibly kind, understanding and supportive. He had a great sense of humor and was the type of person who could make your soul smile without even trying. We will miss him greatly. His sudden passing is like losing a brother or close cousin. He was a very special person who cared deeply about people. He truly was the epitome of what it means to love from one's soul. We are fortunate to have had him in our lives.
