You visited me in my dreams last night and a few other times over the years! Each time it´s like time has never passed. 15-years later I feel a part of me still struggles with accepting you´re gone. I still think there´s something I could have done. I´ll always remember your lively laugh, your envious curls, and your beautiful, big eyes. Always forever in my thoughts! I know you are always watching over us! Rest in paradise, my friend

I was at Starbucks yesterday and swear I saw you. Same brown flip-flops, same style shirt and a lifeguard lanyard. I'd like to think that that was your sign that you're with me always. I felt bad for the guy. I couldn't stop staring. I'm pretty sure you didn't like coffee so it was odd seeing you there. However, It was the best 30 seconds that I've had in many years. If was good to see you my friend. Please come back again soon. I miss you, I love you, and not a day goes by that I don't think of you. I wish you were still here. But that gift yesterday was a great gift. Love always,Amanda

Drew,
Not a day goes by that I don't think of you and do a double take at every skinny kid with wavy brown hair. I always go back to our last conversation on the balcony of the Denver apartment and dinner at Sushi Moon. I still smile when I remember how startled you were when I woke you up on the couch at 5am so that you could sleep in my bed when I was at work. I just came across the poems that we read on the top of the mountain in Delaware for you, some of them really help to read, seems at least others know this feeling. You and your family are always on my mind, Love you guys.

I had first met Drew at the age of 9 in the fourth grade. I remember him being very outgoing and always making people laugh. The way he used to plaster his hair to his head would always bring a smile to my face. Over the years we had many adventures together that i will never forget; caroling in the 5th grade, Washington D.C. in the 8th, and all those memorable times in band. We had a great time, and a friendship that went on for half the span of our lives. At the news of his death, I couldn't believe that i would never see that sweet little boy in the funny little t-shirts again. Although Drew is gone now, he left an impression in my life that i will never forget.

Dear Shelley & Heath & family,
I am so sorry to hear about Drew! Please accept my deepest symphathies. I am still in shock. This evening I was looking for Drew on Facebook and never expected this sad news. Ten years after being Drew's "big brother" thru the AZBB/BS program back in 1998-99, I still have many happy & fond memories of that special year I was able to spend with Drew & your family. I've thought about you guys often over the years. For me, Drew will always be that sweet, kind, big smiling 9 year old tele tubby hating, slug bug playing great kid! We had a lot of fun times together that year ... I'm getting choked up now just thinking about it.
I've really enjoyed reading the guest book entries here to get a glimpse into other years & memories of Drew's life & how much he meant to others. I'll never fortget you Drew! Your family's in my thoughts & prayers.

Dear friends and family of Drew, I was heart broken to hear about Drew. He was a friend from many years, we went to the YMCA and did swim team together along with Jr. Life guards and Life guard training. He always seemed to have a wonderful way of making the room come to life. I think about him everyday and can only imagine the pain you must be going through. He will be missed.

I cannot say I knew him as well as many of these people who have or will sign this guest book but I can say that he has touched many lives even those he didn't really know. I know many who loved Drew and teachers who thought of him as a son. He will not be forgotten I can tell you that. My family sends their prayers to each and every person who was touched by Drew. We'll all miss him very much.

To all Drew's family and friends I will have you all in my prayers as I too remember special moments I shared with Drew. I met him as I came in a Freshman at Central and he a Sophmore. He was the very first person to introduce himself to me. I had the great plessure of being on the Drum Line with Drew for two years. I think about him everyday and how he would call me at 5:30 in the morning to ask for a ride to band because we live down the street. Even my younger sister who is only 9 has memories of him and how he taught her how to spell the word (daughter). Memories last forever. And forever he will stay in my heart! Love you Drew!("you rock")

To Drew's family:
I am terribly sorry for your loss. I had been out of contact with Drew, only seeing him periodically in the past couple years, but when I did see him, he always brought a smile to my face and plenty of laughs to our encounters. I met Drew in 4th grade at a YMCA summer camp at St. Gregory's and somehow he had come in and out of my life since. Summers at Encanto pool with him were unforgettable. I hope it is a comfort knowing what a wonderful, fun, and caring young man Drew was. I am going to miss those random, wonderful encounters. Take care.

Todd, I love that you put this website together, its beautiful. Its great to have a place to come and share! I think about Drew everyday.. I changed the ring tone on my phone to that Good Charlotte song, Hold On, so everytime it rings, it reminds me of him. Shelley let me burn some of his favorite CDs and I love listening to them. I love to look at all the pictures that Shelley has of him, my favorite is the one in Vail, I think, where he is sitting in that enormous chair! I have good memories of Drew, he was such an awesome guy. My fondest memory was when a bunch of us went tubing down the Salt River, stop me if you've heard this!, I got a little drunk and Drew was right there keeping an eye on me, looking to make sure I was alright. And everytime after that, when we would all be hanging out, he was looking out for me, I love that! I was looking out for him too, even gave him my version of the "Birds and the Bees" speech when I heard he had a girlfriend. I love remembering those times and hearing other people share their memories... I Love You Drew, Amber

Though I only met Drew for just a while, I knew he IS a well-loved child and a good kid. As a parent, the loss of a child is the ultimate worst thing that could happen to me. I do hope you're holding up, Shelly -- and if ever you need anything, don't hesitate to call or e-mail. We are all thinking of you and we're also including you, Drew and the rest of your family in our prayers...Dr. Nazareth

Shelly, Joey, Todd, Heath, Pat, and Frank,
I am so sorry. It is hard to find the words to say at a time like this. I am glad that my kids (Madi, Tyler and Lexi) were able to get to know and love him! Especially Madi! I will always remember his happy and fun sense of humor! He was a great kid. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him. Just know that he is no longer in pain.
