Drusilla Maldoon Obituary

Maldoon, Drusilla Joan
Drusilla (Dru) Maldoon, 81, of Ahwatukee, AZ passed away on June 13, 2009 due to complications from severe spinal stenosis. Dru was born on February 05, 1928, in Marysville, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents, Geneva and Frank Graves and daughter Corrine Welch. Survivors include her husband Raymond Maldoon and son Christopher Welch, Chandler, AZ, her sisters Susie Graves Krepel of Denver, CO and Mary Graves Piersanti of Salt Lake City, UT, her brothers Jack Graves of Sun City West, AZ and Mike Graves of Casa Grande, AZ, granddaughter Bria Welch of Chandler, AZ and grandson Carsen Welch of Chandler, AZ. Dru retired from Qwest in 1980 after a career begun at age 18 with AT&T and affiliated phone companies. A celebration of her vibrant life will be held on Friday, June 19, 2009 at 9:30 am at Corpus Christi Church, 3550 E Knox Rd, Phoenix, AZ. There will also be an internment service at St. Gregory's Cemetery, Marysville KS at a later date. The family has requested that anyone wishing to send flowers would instead donate to Hospice of the Valley or Arizona Humane Society in her memory. Go with God, Our Dear Drusilla.
