E. Cornwall Obituary

E. Judson Cornwall was born in San Jose, California August 15, 1924. He
has lived in Phoenix for the past 18 years and it was in his home that he bid us goodbye as he rose to a more permanent dwelling place. After a long battle with both diabetes and cancer Dr. Cornwall suffered a severe stroke and in less than a week died. He then attended Pasadena Bible College (now Vanguard University) where he met and married Eleanor Eaton 62 years ago. He later received a doctorate degree from Fountaingate Bible College in Dallas, Texas. Together Judson and Eleanor had 3 daughters; Dorothy Foster of Glendale, Jeanne Schuppert of Indiana and Justine Sentfleben of Phoenix. Other family members include 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Missing him as the elder brother of the family will be his siblings: Robert Cornwall, of Cottonwood, Jim Cornwall, of Scottsdale, Tom Cornwall, of Port Orchard, Washington, Iverna Tompkins, sister, of Scottsdale. Judson was a third generation minister and has served as an Apostle, Pastor, Teacher, Pioneer and Encourager. Following his years of establishing and serving local churches, he traveled the world preaching, teaching and training ministers and laity of various denominations. He may be best remembered for his in-depth teaching on the subject of worship as taught in the Bible. Multiple thousands have testified of their lives being changed by the practice of this revelation. He authored more than 50 books, many of which have been translated into languages other than English. His last book was written at the urging of the publisher after learning that Dr. Cornwall continued to counsel others from his wheelchair with an almost 3 year old prognosis having been given him of his pending death. The book is well named "Dying with Grace" for this is exactly what he did to his last breath. At 10:30 Thursday morning, February 17, a memorial and celebration service will be held at Scottsdale Worship Center which is located at 6508 E. Cactus Road, Scottsdale 85254. Church Phone # is 480-483-2401. Arrangements by Messinger Indian School Mortuary, Scottsdale, AZ.

Judson Cornwall was a speaker at Elim Bible Institute in Lima, NY, in 1972 when I was a student. Now, 50 years later, at the age of 72, I am rereading my chapel notes from Elim and being greatly blessed by Bro. Cornwall´s insights. My mother preserved my Bible school notes for over half a century! When she passed 3 years ago, I found this spiritual gold that never tarnished with time! Glory to God!

Greetings from the Ellingsons, Marilyn (Orcutt) and Ralph. Love and condolences to the family. Many fond memories of relationships, ministry, and visits at home. Our family was ministered to by the Cornwalls. Clarke and Naomi have gone home to be with Jesus, but (Orcutt) kids are still around with kids and grandkids of our own. Our lives have been touched by Judson and Eleanor. Sincerely

Dear Family and friends. I was enjoyed listening to the tapes that still endure around the world of the ministry of Judson. Having placed a web page up for Judson only brought me more encouragement to continue. I received emails from thousands around the world who heard and were touched by Judson's grasp of Heaven.

I marveled that God gave him grace to endure through encredible hardships, and yet be able to read his books onto tape for the blind.

My family sends our condolences and heart felt sympathies in this time of grieving.

Blessings, Rev's. Dr. Ron & Geri Meyers, Jr.

Dear, Dear Eleanor and Family,

Luke and I are incredibly haunted by this pain of loss, yet ecstatically relieved that Judson is at home in glorious Heaven.

How enriched we have been for these past thirty years by the committed ministry of Judson Cornwall, lover of God. His very presence always brought the beautiful fragrance of Jesus into any room. Heaven's music played in our spirits as we worshiped together and sang love songs to our King. And now, God Himself has blessed Judson forever.

Father, friend, confidante, rabbi, wordsmith, truth-teller, soul-seer, preacher, teacher, all -- gracious Word of God streamed from his lips to deposit divine treasure within us. He encouraged us to drink deeply of the Bridegroom's love. Only one Father has given us more.

God is with you, dear Eleanor. As He sustained you during the darkest, most strenuous hours, He will carry you through the days ahead. He will break upon you with new rest, comfort, courage and strength. You are a true example to so many, teaching us to endure victoriously, cherish the yesterdays, and look with joy to God's tomorrow.

"And Love can never lose its own."

Ever interceding, ever loving you,

Dear Sister Eleanor,

Our thoughts and our prayers are with you at this time of Brother Judson's homegoing. We are rejoicing with you that he is in the presence of the Lord and out of pain, but we also grieve with you in your great loss.

We will be forever grateful for the tremendous impact Brother Judson had on our lives and on the church we have pastored for the past 25 years. We learned to worship at the feet of Jesus through Brother Judson's teachings and the example of his life. He was a great man of God, and we will truly miss him.

May God comfort your heart through His wonderful Holy Sprit in the days ahead.

Love in Christ,

Diana and Larry Baker

Dear Eleanor and family,

I heard that Judson finally moved on to meet his Beloved Jesus. I told him I would celebrate when that happened, and I do feel joy for him. I feel so enriched and honored by having known you both over his many months on hospice. You are both so dear to me. I know he will be missed by many, as I miss him. Love, Kathy

Greetings Eleanor in Jesus Name!

Marilyn (Orcutt), Shirley (Orcutt) Kirby, and I are in town (Mesa 480-396-2016)visting my (Ralph's) mother. We saw Judson's TV appearance on TBN, that was our first news of our Brother's passing. You are already in our prayers and we would like to see you, Lord willing. We are planning to tell Clarke (who is in Mexico) as soon as we can.

God Bless, we love you
