Arlene, I just finished my Thanksgiving cooking duties with a couple of Turkey pies to manage the leftovers. Ed and I used to share stories about cooking for Thanksgiving since that seemed to be something we both did and enjoyed. I thought of Ed often while I was cooking this year, and remembered that I had told him I would call him for advice this year. I will miss him.

Although I've seen Ed in Huntersville for over a year, it was only the last 9 months that we became friends.(Both of us visitors to Huntersville on Business) Alot was formed in a very short time and I must say, I will miss him dearly. When I would leave NJ I would hope Ed would want to go for(liver and onions) as we would do so every two weeks or so. During our many conversations we had, I think I helped Ed remember his younger years in NY&NJ and he had some stories! Ed enjoyed my homegrown Jersey tomatoes and I enjoyed bringing them down for him. Most memorable event, Ed had retired early and I had brought a bag of tomatoes down fof him. After a few cocktails I decided to bring them to him. I woke him with the lobby phone and a bleary eyed Ed greeted me in his PJ's and a huge smile. Arlene, Ed was a wonderful friend. Our time together was short but he will be always missed in many different ways. Stay strong.

From the moment EMac arrived at Turkey Point in 1987, we all knew he was very special. His knowledge and experience in nuclear power sytems combined with his excellent computer programming skills made him very unique. No one was better than EMac in data communications, and no one could come close when it came to integrating systems and making them work. But what I will remember most about EMac is not his technical greatness, but his human side. EMac was a great human being with a kind heart. You will be missed.

My friend Ed…

I knew Ed on a technical and personal level; his technical expertise in the nuclear simulation field will be greatly missed. He was a good friend, had a charitable heart, and tried to make everyday count.

He is missed already and I pray that he is in a better place now. I pray that the Lord God has Ed in his arms and is holding him tightly.

My sincere sympathy to Ed’s family and friends.

We are so grateful that we were able to attend the services for our dearest friend, Ed. We witnessed the melding of past and present in the stories told of Ed by so many. As he did on the submarine and everywhere, Ed once again brought people together by his friendship and love. We hope he knows we return it tenfold.

We were honored to know him and he will never be forgotten. May the ties forged through our love for Ed that day be strengthened by our memories and the knowledge that he loved us all.

Arlene,

It was my privilege to get to know Ed through July and August at NMP and here in the Georgia office during his September visit. His dedication to people and delivering the best at all times is the image that will stick with me throughout the years. He will be missed by all in the industry, and we all know that no matter how much we may miss him, that your loss is much more significant than can be expressed in words right now. May you and your family be wrapped in the warmth of the communities fond memories of Ed.

Perhaps Don Noe summed it up best for me. It is a great legacy that in our very difficult and competitive business of power plant simulation, I have never known anyone to complain about Ed's work, ethic, or disposition. Indeed, quite to the contrary. May we all strive to do as well with the gifts we have been given.
