Edward Tarango Obituary

Tarango, Edward (Ed)
88, born Marfa Texas, March 1, 1926 to Charlie and Virginia Tarango passed away July 12, 2014 in Chandler Arizona. He was preceded in death by his siblings Lorina (Tarango) Miller, Charlie and Oscar Tarango. He is survived by his wife Lucy, children and their spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Upon honorable discharge from the Navy where he served in the South Pacific, he attended NMSU Albuquerque earning a degree in Pharmacy. Edward opened Sunway Pharmacy in 1960 and served the Northeast El Paso community until the mid-1970s. He then went to work at William Beaumont Army Medical Center specializing in intravenous medication therapy. He was a member and president of the N.E. Rotary Club and the El Paso Pharmaceutical Society. Upon moving to Arizona in the early 1980s Edward worked as a pharmacist at Kmart and Luke Air Force Base in Glendale Az. After retiring from pharmacy he often volunteered his time to his grandchildren's elementary classrooms, reading and chaperoning field trips. He loved traveling, cooking, spending time with family and friends and talking to everyone he'd meet. Edward (grandpa) will forever be remembered by his interesting stories from his past and his corny jokes. Edward will be interred with full military honors Friday, August 15th, 10:30 AM at the National Memorial cemetery of Arizona 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85024
