Edwin Scott Obituary
Phoenix - Edwin Lee Scott, Jr., son of the late Edwin Lee Scott., Sr and Bertha Smith Scott was born on January 15, 1936, in Goldsboro, North Carolina. He was their only child.
Dinky, as he was nicknamed was called home to his Heavenly Father Saturday, September 19, 2020, at the home of his daughter Teresa Snyder in Phoenix, Arizona where he lived under her family's care for the last days of his life.
Following high school, Dinky joined the Air Force and proudly served his country for multiple terms before retiring in 1979 in Oxon Hill, Maryland. He is preceded in death by his wife, Harue Nelson.
He leaves behind daughters Teresa Snyder (husband Robin), Toya Turner, and stepdaughter Nadine Findeisen (husband Adam) as well as six grandchildren and other relatives.
Dinky was an active member of Knights of Columbus, Masons, and Veterans of Foreign Wars and will be remembered for his devotion to the church where he served on the pastoral council and to his community. Due to the COVID pandemic and respect for him and his family, a private interment with military honors will be held at the National Cemetery of Arizona. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the JBAB Chapel located at 310 Angell Street, Bldg 3610, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, D.C. 20032.

I knew Dinky as scotty in Minot NO Dak when he was in the Air Force. He was the nicest person and had a great singing voice
