Though we didn't know you well, I really looked forward to the cups of tea we never seem to get around to drinking. Vaya Con Dios mi amiga

Mom,
My heart is saddened by your loss.
I never expected you to leave us so soon.
We journeyed a long way together through this life. During that time we had our share of life's sorrows.

I also have some wonderful memories of our time together. Those are the things I will always carry close to my heart; for that is where you will also be, always.

I'll miss you and will cherrish your memory, always!

Goodbye Mom...

Grandma,

Hugs and Kisses freely given,
Cuddles in your lap,
Warm sweet tea in the morning,
And watching The Price is Right with you,
These are the things I’ll remember.

Riding my tricycle around the kitchen table,
As you exclaimed, “Oh Boy, you went so fast!”
Watching Mommy drive through at the bank,
While you stood at the window with me,
These are the things I’ll remember.

Pork chops and green beans for dinner,
With mashed potatoes and gravy,
Watching Lawrence Welk and He-Haw,
Crawling across the back of the couch, like a cat,
These are the things I’ll remember.

Cold peanut butter cups in the refrigerator,
Soda-pop for me, always treats and
Hugs and kisses freely given,
While shopping through the toy catalogs,
These are the things I’ll remember.

Trips to the store in your big red car,
Coloring books with the groceries,
Peppermint patties in the checkout line,
A Happy Meal on the way home,
These are the things I’ll remember.

Ham for dinner on Christmas Eve,
Blowing the horn on the Christmas tree,
The anticipation and Hugs before presents,
And then opening the entire toy catalog,
These are the things I’ll remember.

But mostly Grandma, I’ll remember you,
Phone calls and Hugs, always there for me,
From story books and holding your finger,
As I fell asleep, not afraid of the dark…
I’ll remember all of it…

You always gave me the best of everything,
And especially the best of yourself-
And Grandma, I just want you to know,
Of all the memories and gifts you gave,
I’ll miss your Hugs the most.

Ich Liebe Dich mit Meinem Ganzem Herzen!
