Elizabeth Bobek Obituary
died peacefully in her sleep on June 28, 2009, at age of 82. Elizabeth was born May 8, 1927 to Thomas and Mary Spencer in Oak Park, Il; and she was married to Orville F. Bobek for 60 magnificent years. Elizabeth is beloved by her six children, her nine grandchildren, and her nine great grandchildren who will miss her sweet presence; and her memory will be cherished by her loving sister, Mary Ellen Thomas. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Orv, and by her dear grandson Mitchell S. Thorp, who passed on November 19, 2008. Elizabeth will always hold a special place in the hearts of the many who loved her. She is God's newest angel, as well as ours. And yes Elizabeth, Jesus loves you! Funeral mass for Elizabeth Bobek will be celebrated on Friday, July 3, 2009 at 11 am at Blessed Sacrament Church located at 11300 N. 64th Street in Scottsdale, Arizona 85253; and a luncheon reception will be held immediately after the mass at The Blessed Sacrament Reception Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to be sent to The Mitchell Thorp Fund, c/o US Bank, 1074 North El Camino Real, Encinitas, CA 92024.

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother, my Aunt Betty. I will always hold many happy memories of our fun times in Cicero and at your Crystal Lake home. She was a lady full of life and love, and I know she will be missed.

Dear Beth, Scott and Patty:
My deepest sympathy to all of you on the loss of your darling, glamorous and oh-so-stylish mother who I adored. I will never forget when I was hanging out at your house with Scott one day, and your mom said, Nancy, you could use a little lipstick honey." From that day forward, I never left the house without some lipcolor on my lips, and in my pocket or purse. She was one of a kind. I am sure your hearts are broken as you face the days ahead without her, but you all were raised so well by the best set of parents, you will pull through with grace and of course, style.
