Elizabeth Tignini Obituary

Tignini, Elizabeth "Betsy" Ann
76, of Scottsdale died peacefully in her sleep at her home on the morning of October 14, 2015. She was born Elizabeth Ann Foery on February 13, 1939 to Bernard and Catherine Foery in New York, where she was raised and later attended the Parsons School of Design. She married Vittorio Tignini in 1961 and they lived together in New York before relocating to Scottsdale in 1970. Loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Betsy enjoyed preparing home-cooked Italian meals on Sunday afternoons where family and friends would gather to share the events of the week. She adored spending time with her grandchildren, always ready to help them with a school project or lend a sympathetic ear. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Vittorio; two sons, Eric and Victor; six grandchildren, Hutton, Valentina, Tanner, Tyler, Avery, and Grace; and daughter-in-law Nena. Services were held at Messinger Mortuaries and she has been laid to rest at the Paradise Memorial Gardens in Scottsdale.

I remember Betsy, Victor and Bernie when we moved to Phoenix and how they made us feel more than welcomed. This is very sad news and I feel sadness for the Tignini brothers.
