Seaton, Elvin "El" Howland
88 was born in Indianapolis, IN on January 3, 1922 and went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2010. He went to Purdue University as a member of Phi Gamma Delta Society and was President of Sigma Delta PSI (Athletic Honorary Club). He graduated as a physicist in 1943. He was in the Army briefly, but due to his education, the CCD Board decided he was needed more in the Defense Industry, so he worked for PR Mallory (Duracell) until 1946. In 1944 El married Annette Lange; they moved to Florida in 1946. After 3 years at Florida Power & Light, he opened his own Electrical Co., with up to 165 employees who worked on schools, hotels and apartment buildings. He was very active in the Jr. Chamber of Commerce (VP on Board); Nat'l. Electrical Contractors Assn. (Pres 2 yrs); and was a Founding Member of Coral Reef Yacht Club. He was President of the Bimini Big Game Club for several years.He belonged to Rotary Club 35 yrs, on the Board several years and earned a Paul Harris Award. In 1965 he and his wife, teenage daughter & son moved to Switzerland for 1 year, where they traveled over 20,000 miles exploring most of the countries in Europe. In 1970 they moved to Zephyr Cove (Lake Tahoe), Nevada, where he became a General Contractor until he retired in 1986. He was Chairman of the Board of Round Hill General Improvement District for 8 yrs and was very active in Rotary Club. In Jan 1980, his wife, Annette, predeceased him. In July, 1981 he married Carol Sears Mast and they moved to Penn Valley, CA in 1986, then to Surprise, AZ in 1997 where he was a Board Member of the Sun Village Community Church for 2 yrs. They traveled extensively until he became ill in 2005. He is survived by his wife, Carol; Family:daughter Kathleen Ashley (Wes), grandchildren, Douglas Ashley (Julie Lynn), Ryan Ashley (Angela) and Bree-Annette Seaton; 4 great-grandchildren Sydney, Keelan, Landon and Kyle Ashley; Stepfamily: daughters, Denice Young (Jon) and Kathy Taitano; grandchildren Eric Barker (Julie) and Tiffany Moring (Dustin) and great-grandchild, Zorie Barker. His son, John, predeceased him in 2001. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Sun Village Community Church, 17300 N.
