My deepest Condoences to the Abbott family. I remember Eric from when I was in 6th Grade. I was friends with his Sister Michelle. I didnt know him later on in life but it sounds like he was a wonderful guy. I was very sad to hear the news of his passing. My prayers go out to the Abbott family

I knew Eric thru my son Jason. He was a wonderful person. Always the first to say hello and that big smile that filled your heart with joy. He would reach out to me whenever I saw him wanting me to hang out with the Guys. He made me feel special. This is a gift that he gave to all. What a Man. We will all miss the gift he gave us.

Although our family did not have the
privilege of knowing Eric, we mourn his passing as if we had. We have heard about what a magnificent person he was from my dear sister,
Sharon May, who is Courtney's
mother and Sonny's mother-in-law.
Since his death, we have talked every day and Sharon has given us
insight into how many lives Eric has
brought joy into. To all of the Abbott family, please know that your
"Louisiana" family has you in our hearts and prayers. May God bless

The first time I met Eric was when I was a freshman in highschool. He was a senior at the time and we were just tag alongs, but he always had time for a laugh and always watched out for us. There were many great memories rolling around in the Ford Escort that will never be forgoten. My condolences go out to his family.

I worked with Eric at Homelife. We had such a fun crew and everyone loved Eric. Last time i saw him was at Robinson-May -- so handsome and well dressed. He'd just gotten engaged and was getting ready to buy a house. I am so saddened by his loss. My prayers and thoughts are sincerely sent to his family. May God bless you and be with you all during this difficult time.

I have so many great memories and stories of Eric that I will never forget. He was a great person and friend and I am blessed to have been able to know him and to have these memories of him. I first time I met Eric was through Terry Reily at the Aguilar carnival and Eric and Bacilio Delgado were in a fight that Terry & I broke up. 5 minutes after the fight was over, he and Bacilio were back to being best friends and we all hung out the rest of the night. We really became good friends when we got our first jobs at the same time at Smitty’s, pushing those metal carts all day long during the summer when we had the record heat of 122 degrees. We would work our butts off and get everything done really fast & then sneak away and sit in the shade at the condos behind the store & smoke cigarettes, relax and talk. Then there were the millions of memories of high school and the years that followed. Eric had a great heart, had a great sense of humor, was hard working, was a great friend, ALWAYS had your back, got along with EVERYONE, and was always respectful to my mother, brother and to all of our other friend’s families. I regret so much that we had lost contact with each over the past years. My heart & prayers go out to Amy, Geri, Sonny, Michelle and the rest of his family.

I’m not sure I can add any more to what has already been said about Eric. This is a small glimpse of how much he was admired, respected and loved by every person that he came in contact with. He was a special and genuine person that loved life, his family and friends with all of his heart. There is and never will be anyone like Eric Abbott. I’m happy to have had him in my life and I will never forget him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Eric's family. My husband Mike know to all theirs friends as "Baca" was really good friends with Eric since high school and will miss him greatly. I had the pleasure of being neighbors with him when I was in high school also, he was amazing to everyone he ever met. We loved him and will miss him.

Eric and I went to highschool together, and he was always a GREAT friend. I have so many great memories of him ( especially are b-days, which we're on the same day). Eric brought so much joy and happiness to everyone he came into contact with. He was a larger than life person, and no matter where he went everyone gravitated to him. I thank God that I had the opportunity to share so many good times with him, and I am truly blessed to have had him in my life as long as I did. He was my best friend, and even though we were not related by blood he was my brother and I will love and cherish the times we shared always. God Bless you Eric.

Eric and my son Paul were friends since Jr. High They rivaled for the same girl, partied together and went to the dances. Eric was always very respectful to me and he did give good bear hugs. He had a scar on his lip from my dog biting him! Although my son and I lost touch with him since graduation he was and will always be part of our fond & funny memories of those years when they were young! My prayers go out to his family especially his Mom....this touches all Moms!!!

I knew Eric from the Sears Outlet and later Homelife Store. We nicknamed him Big Fester and my grandson was little Fester since he was bald just like Eric. I will remember his determination, smiling face, and tender heart. My sympathy to his family.

I met Eric working at Homelife,he was our receiving manager. Eric was such a hardworking person, but it always had a minute to say hi to everyone. Eric definitely had the best hugs also. My heart goes out to all the family members he will be missed deeply.

I have known Eric for a very long time and I have so many wonderful memories of him. Eric is someone who could always walk into a room and light it up instantly. I will never understand why the best people in our lives are taken so soon. Eric-I was blessed to have known you and I will always be thankful for that! I don't quite remember when I first met Eric, I've known him since elementry school at Aguilar, and then thru high school. I grew up knowing E since I was 7 years old. I met him through my cousin Holli and we hit it off right away. We were very close all the way through high school and as with the times grew apart after. I always seemed to run into E somewhere and we tried to keep in contact. Its been awhile since I'd seen him, but always asked old friends how he was. He will be greatly missed by myself and my prayers and Love go out to his wife and family!!!
