Evelyn Eberhard Obituary

Evelyn Ruth Eberhard born December 13, 1930 in Oak Park, IL, passed away November 13, 2010 at Archstone Care Center in Chandler, AZ with her family at her side. She is survived by Stephen, her husband of 63 years, daughters Linda (Timothy Isaac) and Sharon (Robert Farber), sons Stephen Jr., Larry and Gary (Kimberly), brother Richard, aunt Muriel, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Evelyn's interests included her children and grandchildren, travel, Willie Nelson, reading, crossword puzzles, southwestern art and spoiling her dogs. After growing up and spending much of her early years in Illinois, Evelyn and Steve moved to Albuquerque, NM with subsequent residences in Deming, NM, Mesa and Sun City, AZ, Simi Valley, CA and Ocala, FL. Evelyn was a true "bohemian," her favorite song, "On the Road Again", became a way of life for her and Steve - exploring much of the U.S. in their RV. Prior to retiring, Evelyn worked as an Admin. Clerk at Jefferson Elementary School in Mesa, AZ. Evelyn's passing occurred just one month prior to the day of her 80th birthday. A celebration of Evelyn's life will be held on Monday, Dec. 13th at the Wyman Cremation and Burial Chapel, Mesa, AZ, visitation from 10:00am-12:00pm. Memorial donations may be made to support either of Evelyn's two "passions": The Arizona Humane Society, www.azhumane.org or the Mission San Xavier del Bac restoration effort, http://patronatosanxavier.org.
