Evelyn was a sister like no other, a woman of many talents that were unknown to most who knew her. She grew prize roses, won awards for her baked and decorated concoctions, cooked up a storm without recipes, had a lifelong passion for music, and could recite the stats for every player who ever put on a Suns uniform as well as the fate of every character on the daily soaps.
Her home was frequently the central gathering place for our extended family, due in large part to her culinary skills--her tamales are famous--and she gladly hosted us at the "Fong Motel" on our visits to Phoenix! It was a bed and breakfast, lunch and dinner place! Evelyn, thank you for being the person you were, for letting me hang out at your home when I was a teenager, and for being a loving sister. I will miss you so much!
