Frank V. Panski, 73, of Sun City Grand, recently passed away in Sun City West, AZ. He was born November 18, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Frank & Theresa Panski. He served in the Army as an MP from 1950-1954. Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Patience Pierce Panski, their son Frank V. II & his wife Amy Wallace Panski of Clinton TWP, MI, and his brother Gerald (Dorothy) Panski of Lake, MI. Also, nephews Kenneth (Karen) Panski, the late Gregg (Colleen) Panski, and niece Gerilyn Panski Jones, all of Michigan. Frank retired from General Motors Cadillac Division in 1987. His passion was playing Slow Pitch Softball. He played for the 1957 Champion World Slow Pitch Softball team from Detroit. He also umpired in the Pro Slow Pitch Softball League in Detroit, MI. After he turned 50 he joined Senior Slow Pitch Softball. In 1993, he played on the National ASA Senior 50's Softball Slow Pitch Championship Team and received a ring (which he wore with great pride). In 2000, he and his wife moved to Sun City Grand in Surprise, Arizona. Frank continued playing softball, he was always taking care of the ball field, umpiring when needed, watching games with his friends, and settling any disputes regarding the rules of softball. Frank had a great sense of humor and loved kidding around with his many friends. He will be greatly missed. Frank was cremated and no services were held. Arrangements were made by Camino del Sol Funeral Chapel, Sun City West, Arizona.
