Frieda Stern Obituary

Frieda Stern, age 93, of Scottsdale, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2007. She was a beloved and unselfish mother, wife, caregiver and friend devoted to her Jewish faith and family. Frieda was born in Chicago September 12, 1913 and lived there until moving to Arizona 12 years ago. She and her husband Harry were big fundraisers for the Yanni Cohen Heart Foundation in Chicago. She leaves behind her two beloved sons, Phillip and Sidney (Sherry), granddaughters Lisa and Abbe (Adam), great-grandchild Ally. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews & cousins. Graveside funeral services are to be held Friday, May 25th at Green Acres Cemetery, 401 N. Hayden Rd. in Scottsdale. Contributions in her memory may be made for research to the American Heart Association 2929 S. 48th St., Tempe, AZ 85282. Arrangements by Sinai Mortuary.

Sid, Sherry, and Stern Family;

Please accept our sincere sympathy. It is never easy losing your mother no matter what their age. Just remember Sid, you were always good to her. Time is a healer and soon all the good memories will surface and remain forever. Just know we will say a prayer for her and that we are thinking of you in this time of grief.
