Gabriel Michael DeLeon Jr. Passed from us to his eternal rest on Saturday, May 6, 2006. "Gabe" leaves behind the love of his life of 40 years, Molly; sons Mark (Maria Elena), Eric, and Matthew; daughter Roberta (Niki), and one granddaughter, his "princess" Libby. He is also survived by his sister Helen Lopez and many special nieces and nephews. Gabe was born and raised in Glendale, AZ and lived most of his life in the surrounding communities. He loved this state and he traveled it extensively with his wife, admiring the beauty and diversity of the state. He commented often that God smiled on the state. Gabe loved camping and hunting and he taught his children to love nature as well. Gabe worked with his hands, as an HVAC expert and systems mechanic and held multiple certifications in his field. He never stopped learning and was always looking at ways to do things in a "better way". One of his greatest joys was building dreams and his sons helped him in the building of his retirement cabin, which he has now traded in for a mansion in eternity. Services are scheduled for Wednesday May 10th at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Goodyear from 6-8 pm for viewing and rosary. Funeral mass will be held at the same location on Thursday morning May 11th at 9:00 am. Menke Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
