Not sure what to say?

January 30, 2010

I just recently heard about Gabrielle’s death from a friend that I used to work with at Tutor Time. I used to watch the kids a few years back. I just wanted to say that I am sorry to hear of your family’s loss. Gabrielle was an amazing mother and wife. She loved you kids more then life itself and adored Scott. She would light up every time we would talk about them. Just Always remember how great she was as a mom and wife. Make her proud? I wish that I could say something to take all of your pain away, but I can’t. All I can say if with time life will become easier to deal with just keep your head up and keep her alive in your heart. God bless your family and you are all in my prayers.

Sometimes God needs a little more help than he has on hand in Heaven and has to promote someone to angel a little early in life. As beautiful as you were here on Earth I could only imagine how adoring you look with your robe and crown.
May God Bless and send comfort in all that miss you.

I knew Gabrielle years ago, and have never forgotten her. I have wanted to post something here but have stopped myself, feeling like I hadn't talked to her in so long what could it matter. the post from her daughter Kylie prompted me. As a woman who lost my mom at a young age, I wish there had been more about my mom that I could have known. I hope that all of Gabrielle's children know how much she wanted and loved being a mom. When I knew her, she only had Kylie, but she adored that little girl more than anything. And I remember when she met Scott how in love she was. She was a fiery, amazing woman who had warmth, spirit and presence. And I hope that above all else she will be remembered for how caring she was. I knew her years ago, but know that family was so important to her, and I know that she loved Scott, Kylie, her best friends, and hoped for the kids she eventually had. I hope that if anything her children are comforted by how much their mom loved and wanted them. I know this to be true from what I knew of her.

It is so very hard for me to put into words how our whole family appreciate all the love, thoughts and prayers we continue to receive each day. As we continue to struggle each day I know it is My God trying to help us through, but it is so very difficult for me to let him. Please, Please continue your prayers for my Beautiful Grandchildren, Scott and all of Gabrielle/Dawn's family and friends that miss her so. As for me, I'm not sure there are enough prayers that could ever be said to ease my pain, but I have to try. I am struggling. I think God overestimated my strength. I have none left.

My Beautiful Dawn I miss you, I love you and still can't believe I will have another moment without you....All my love to you, Mom

No one is ever prepared for the death of a loved one. Words cannot convey the overwhelming feelings of despair that can result from such a tragic, unexpected loss. At 2 Corinthians 1:3,4, states that God is the Father of tender mercies and he is the God of all comfort who comforts us in all our tribulation.

With deepest sympathy to the family of Gabrielle Schoeneweis, please take comfort knowing that God feels compassion for what you are experiencing and through prayer share with God your feelings and He will give you what you need to cope with the pain during this very difficult time.

I don't have to tell you she is in a better place now. I have so many fond memories from school about her that it still seems like yesterday seeing her beautiful smile and how she was always happy. "The unfailing love of the LORD never ends! By his mercies we have been kept from complete destruction. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each day. I say to myself, 'The LORD is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!'

The LORD is wonderfully good to those who wait for him and seek him. So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the LORD.

For the Lord does not abandon anyone forever. Though he brings grief, he also shows compassion according to the greatness of his unfailing love."
Lamentations 3:22-26; 31-32 (NLT)

Dear Lord,

Please help Scott in this time of loss and overwhelming grief. Scott does not understand why his life is filled with this pain and heartache. But Scott can turn his eyes to you as he seeks to find the strength to trust in your faithfulness. Scott will wait on you and not despair; Scott will quietly wait for your salvation. Scott's heart is crushed, but Scott knows that you will not abandon him forever. Please show Scott your compassion, Lord. Help Scott through the pain so that he will hope in you again. Have Scott believe this promise in your Word to send him fresh mercy each day. Though Scott can't see past today, Scott can trust your great love will never fail him.

God Bless
