I´m one of Gary´s former customers. I´m very sad to see this. He was a stand up guy in a not so stand up industry. I was just a kid when I bought my first car from him he could of totally taken me for a ride but he didn´t. I went on to purchase 2 more from him before he passed. It was nice knowing I could always count on him. I was looking him up because I needed another car and I was going to try and get one from him even though I live in another state. I can´t believe he´s gone forever ...I´m just sooooooo shocked.

I will really miss Gary, I think of him all the time and all the fun I had with him. There are just to many to list. I guess what I loved most about him was his no drama attitude. He loved life and loved to have "FUN". "Work hard play harder". I loved that he accepted me as the "token lesbian" of the group. There is a place in my heart for him forever I will never forget his incredible smile and his zest for life. I will miss him but know he is rocking the dance floor on the other side!!!!! Love you Gary!!! Erica Hill

Tom and Ethan

December 30, 2007

We (Tom & Ethan) met Gary in the fall of 2002. We always enjoyed when Gary told the story of how we met- and he told it many times. He thought we were snobby and stuck up and he wasn’t afraid to say it to us. Gary was the first to introduce himself and started what would be a memorable five years. We immediately grew fond of Gary and we are so thankful that we got to tell him that several times over the years. We are grateful that we got to be a part of a fun and exciting and socially Unchallenged guy. More importantly we are privileged to know such a sincere good man who had a big heart and was welcoming and showed genuine concern to even the newest of acquaintances. Gary had certain mannerisms and special certain quirks he would say and do that were ‘Gary’s’ and only his. We fight back tears as we write down these words of good-bye to the irreplaceable Gary whom we really miss. With all this said, I do have one unsettled issue with Gary. After all these years and after so much time spent with Gary, I did not find even one picture of us with him on his walls. I must say that when I enter the afterlife, one of my top 10 list questions will be: “What does it take to get framed on the walls of Gary R. Weiner?”

To Gary’s family we extend our deepest sympathies. Please know that we truly grieve your same loss. Please also know that loving memories of Gary will live on far beyond the borders of his family for many years to come.

We want to dedicate a song to Gary. As you know Gary loved music and he really enjoyed the music Ethan copied for him. One of Gary’s all-time favorite songs is ‘Insatiable’ by Darren Hayes. This was Gary’s last request from us. We hope you enjoy it as much as Gary did.

Dear Arnie, Merle, Sharon and Shirley,
Words cannot express our sorrow. Marty knew Gary from the day he was born and our families have shared three generations of the closest friendship anyone could hope for in this life. He will continue to be an abiding and loving presence in all of our lives and his spirit and joie de vivre will endure in the hearts of everyone he touched.
Love always,

Going out on a weekend and having a late night just isn't the same without Gary, I think of him all the time, I looked up to him and respected him. He was the one that kept my friends together and kept us all going. Gary was a great guy, he taught me and gave me ideas for my car business. I won't ever forget I ran across a crisis situation in San Diego, my friend Peter Lopez said "call Gary" he helped us through everything. I love and miss Gary Weiner and he won't ever be forgotten. I will miss you forever!

Gary,

You were one of the first people I met when I moved to AZ over 12 years ago. Over the years, you always greeted me with a smile and a warm hug. I have many fond memories of laughing, dancing and enjoying your company. We all have a lesson here ... it is up to each of us to discover what that means. You lived your life on your terms which few ever have the strength to do. Peace to you and your family. Thanks for your friendship.

Gary
I will always remember you as a friend who helped me during a difficult time. You were more than a friend, you and your family are like family to me and my family. To my kids, you were "Uncle Gary". I will think of you and miss you every day. There are so many memories over the years. I will especially miss your special touch when I buy a car, and of course will miss the roses. I keep telling myself that you are in a better place. I will do eveything I can to support your family through this difficult time. With all my love. Beth

To Shirley, Arnie, family and friends:
These words by "Flavia" are so appropriate when I think of Gary:
"Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people stay awhile and help us become more than we ever were before. They leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same."

Although Gary may not be physically with us, every time we think of him - a story from the past, a kindness that he offered, or a crazy antic while dancing that causes us to smile - his spirit fills our heats and he remains with us forever.

I'm not quite sure where to start, but to the entire Weiner family, you all know how much I love and care for Gary. One thing that I will always remember Gary for (well there are 100's) is the fact that Gary taught me what true friendship is, and Gary was ALWAYS there for me when I needed a friend, as I was there for him. I will miss Gary more than I could ever put into words on this page. I know he will always be with me, and we will be together again someday. So, Gary, until we are together again, I will see you later. I love you. Travis

Gary is one of my best freinds...His untimely passing is not only a tradgy for his family but has truly left a void in so many peoples lives. Phoenix will miss him and I even more so. He was the best freind anyone could have ever wished to have had, selfless to others and enjoyed EVERY DAY to the fullest. Each day he is gone i realize just how much more, of a wonderful person he was to me and our community I miss him terribly as I know others do as well. there is no other pain/loss as to lossing a best freind but i celebrate his life and take comfort in the fact he'll always be young and look good and I know have a personal angel to get me thugh the rest of my life.

Gary...thanks for the memories. We hung out with the same circle of friends for many years, and although we were never really that close, I still loved you. You were always the life of the party and a kind hearted soul. Seeing you in the hospital broke my heart, but that gentle squeeze from your hand to mine showed me that you were still there inside. See you around in the after life and may you rest in peace.

Arnie, Merle & Sharon,

It is with deep sadness that I read of the passing of Gary. The few times that I had the privilege of his company in your home or one of Sharon's events was always special. He seemed to light up the room when he came in. He loved life and especially his niece Sharon and it showed. He will be greatly missed.

With my deepest sympathy & prayers,

Gary was a wonderful man and a good friend. I first met Gary when I was looking to buy a car. I'm from Canada and we struck an immediate rapport. When I actually met Gary, he was funny and genuinely a nice guy. I ended up buying 3 more cars from him and had my friends from Canada buy from him as well. His last email was that he could hardly wait for us to get together this winter so that we could go out for a nice meal and catch up. We will miss him terribly. Our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family in Arizona.
