Thank you for a great friendship during our times with the band and off hours. I remember fond memories of visiting your mother on week-ends, playing Scrabble, enjoying great meals, and our late night conversations about our dreams and aspirations for the future. We enjoyed a cold beer often. Rest in peace good buddy.

Gerry and I were each other's closest friend when we both played in the Marine Corps Band. We bonded because of similar interests; I remember spending week-ends with him at his mother's home in L..A (Long Beach?), and going to the organ concerts at Balboa Park, Movies and Operas in San Diego. Many fond memories. He was always a fine person, and a gentleman. Rest in Peace my great Marine Corps Band friend.

Message to Shirley: I am Floyd Vasquez...Gerry and I were best friends while we both played in the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Band. I wondered why he stopped emailing me. So sorry to have finally found that he died 12 years ago. I hope you get this message.

Mrs. Prescott and family,
You may not rememberber me but I was Pam's friend in High School. I am very sorry to hear about your loss. I have only the fondest of memories of Mr. Prescott. He loved and cherished you all and that was always obvious. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Shirley, Helen and I were deeply saddened by the news. We treasure our memories of visits with you and Jerry. Our children remember coming to your home as the very first introduction that we had to the San Fernando Valley. We shall always be grateful for your generous hospitality then and for your continuing friendship afterwards. In my association with him as a colleague and friend, Jerry remains in mind as a center of gentle good humor and calm judgment, the very model of a dedicated teacher for his students, the loving father of a wonderful family, and a true gentleman toward everyone whom he met. God bless you.

Mrs. Prescott, I was so sad to hear about Gerald. When Jamie told me I just cried. I was so happy I got the chance to get to know him and help in anyway I could. I will keep you in my thoughts and wish you all the best. I know that you will be fine, you are a strong person, and I know you will miss him something awful. God Bless to you and your family.
