Glenna Bott Obituary

Bott, Glenna Mary Hagans Hazelwood
MESA, ARIZONA - Glenna Mary Hagans Hazelwood Bott, a long time resident of Mesa, and our beloved Wife and Mother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 18, 2010, surrounded by loved ones. Born to Glenn V. and Mabel Ann Hagans in Keokuk, Iowa; raised in Southern California where Glenna attended school, graduated and completed her studies in Cosmetology. Glenna married Mack E. Hazelwood on May 7, 1949. He preceded her in death in 1989. She also married Victor Wayne Bott, Sr., August 18, 1995 in Mesa, Arizona. (Later sealed in the Mesa, Arizona Temple). Glenna was skilled in many areas where she showed great passion and talent. She played the piano, organ, guitar, violin, and even played an encore performance at the Hollywood Bowl as a young girl. The music she shared was a delight to all who listened. Glenna uplifted us with her tremendous talent in painting. She created many beautiful, inspiring works of art, all of which are treasured and dear to us. Everyone wanted a "special" picture just for themselves, and Glenna was always amazed that her art was so much in demand. Forever, Glenna's special love for the beautiful things in life, and her devotion to her family, will be remembered. Glenna was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints (LDS). She was happy to serve in many callings and was a devoted Temple Worker. Her tireless work in genealogy was ongoing and Glenna's contribution to family research was massive. Glenna's faith was her strength and her love of the Gospel was evident in the way she lived her life. Glenna also loved to read study and share stories of her past with the family. Glenna's beautiful blue eyes and deep dimples were always the subject of loving comments, and her laughter and sweet smile could light up a room. Glenna is survived by her husband, Victor Wayne Bott, Sr., (Mesa, Az), her children, Deborah L. Smith (Salt Lake City, UT), Sandra K. Estrella (Acisculo A., Evanston, WY), Mark E. Hazelwood (preceded her in death and twin to Sandra), Colleen D. Eugster (David M., Evanston, WY), and Kent M. Hazelwood (LeeAnne, Murray, UT). Also, Victor Wayne Bott, Jr., (Mary, Roseville, CA), and Evelyn Bott Austin (Walter, Ahwatukee, AZ). Glenna leaves eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, all of who brought great joy and happiness into her life. Services will be held on Friday, July 23, 2010 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah at 1:00 pm. Interment immediately to follow.

Dearest Glenna,
It is a sad day when one of God's special daughters is called home. You have shown us your great capacity for love and have shared your tremendous talents with so many over the years. You will be missed greatly by those that know and love you. I know that the Lord has a special place and work for you to do while you are there. I know that you will also be watching over those that continue to need your love and protection. We will always have you in our hearts and most certainly in our prayers.

Dearest Mother, I will always remember the times you and I talked and shared our deepest secrets with each other. You were more than a Mother to me, always my best friend and confidant. You never judged me, you always loved me through hard times and gave me encouragement and hope. Your sweet spirit will always shine in my life and forever I will love you and be proud to be your daughter. Rest now, and know that I will see you again when it is our Heavenly Father's will. Say hi to everyone for me, I look forward to the day we shall all be reunited. I love you, Momma. Your loving and devoted daughter, Sandie
