Grant Hedlund Obituary
Passed away Aug. 29th, 2016 in Phoenix, AZ. He was born on May 30th, 1963 to Douglas and Janice Hedlund in Schenectady, NY. He worked for GC Services collection firm in Phoenix, AZ, for 25 years. For the past several years, Grant struggled with multiple medical problems. He succumbed to these medical issues on Aug. 29th, 2016. He was surrounded by his family and friends at the time of his passing. He is survived by his fiancé and partner of 19 years, Joan Swartz; his mother and stepfather, Janice and Myron King; his father, Douglas Hedlund; his brothers, Michael Hedlund of Goodyear, AZ, Paul Hedlund of Simpsonville, SC, Clifford Hedlund of Sun City, AZ, David King of Cave Creek, AZ, Nicholas King of Peoria, AZ, Michael King of Phoenix, AZ, Daniel King of Fort Worth, TX; his sister, Susan Greco of Anderson, SC; his daughters Brittany Kerscheval (Carey), Brooke Koepke (Bryan), and Kelsey Gilmore (William) of Gilbert, AZ; granddaughter Ella Gilmore; and long time best friend, David Schuler of Phoenix. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Sept. 1, at the Best Funeral Services & Crematory, 9380 W. Peoria Ave., Peoria, AZ , from noon to 3 p.m. Grant loved life and was such a joyous person. In his honor, please "pay it forward" with an act of kindness……He would love that!
