Harry was a warm, caring, spiritual individual who will truly be missed. I always enjoyed listening to all of his stories. I am thankful to have known Harry for the short time that I did. My condolences to his family.

Brother Skelton was a great man of Faith and of God. His ministry will be missed along with the fellowship we enjoyed through the years together. However we know that one day we'll be able to live together forever in fellowship with the Lord.

To the family of Harry Skelton - What a true original your dad was! I had the pleasure of working with Harry at 7UP from 1980(when I started) until he left, after his accident. I can tell you, there was never a dull moment when Harry was in the room! He was always 'funnin' on someone, and NO ONE was safe from his acerbic wit. In time I came to see that he was really gentle and kind, and a truly faithful man. You just don't get to see that very often, especially in the "man's world" of the 1980's. He was constantly talking about "my Polly" and his kids. He was enormously proud of his family, and it showed when he talked about them. At first, I didn't know that Harry was a man of God, so I was very interested when I found out he had his own radio program, and I tuned in several times to hear him speak. I found it very inspiring - his simple message of God's love. Our 7UP group had the pleasure of re-connecting with Harry at our annual re-union, and right up until the last time we saw him, he was the same Harry. As much as we will miss him here on earth, I'm sure there is a special place (probably a 7UP-green room) in heaven for Harry. God Bless!

Harry was my beloved brother-in-law and friend. He always reminded me of 'Hoss Cartwright' from the TV show, Bonanza. He was jovial and engaging; I don't think that he ever found someone that he could not talk to. Full of fun and jokes, he did not mind when some of the jokes were played on him! As much as he loved a good laugh, he loved the Lord even more. When I think of Harry, I always recall his favorite song, "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow." Harry was an original- someone who was not afraid to stand up for the Lord; nor was he afraid to be 'politically incorrect'. I know that he supported an overseas radio station which broadcast his sermons to countries like India. God's abundant love flowed through him and he manifested that love to his family and those he came in contact with. We miss you, Harry. So many memories of my years with Steve are tied to memories of the visits to the reunions in West Virginia. As the time approached, our first question would always be, "Is Harry coming in?" Rest in peace, dear brother. Surely we will see you soon.

Dad was a remarkable man in so many ways to so many people. Twenty-seven years ago I married his youngest daughter Beth and I can tell you that he was the same then - until now. The two words I would use to describe Dad's life would be "Faithful Servant". He loved us all and prayed for our needs daily. He was a loving son, father, friend, and to MO - husband. He was a wonderful example for all of us on how to live our lives. Twenty-seven years ago he became my Father-In-Law and when he went Home I hope he considered me a son, for I loved him as a Dad!

Ever since I was a little girl I admired and looked up to my Dad. I went on 7UP ride alongs, sorting his bottles for him, while enjoying hostess apple pies and buttermilk for lunch. Dad would say it was high on the hog. I enjoyed being his boy and side kick till my brother Rick came along. As an adult I still am very proud to say our Dad was one of the most generous men I've ever met, from bringing home the homeless for Thanksgiving or picking up the tab for lunch. He was truly a gem. Happy Birthday Dad!! Thanks for all our wonderful memories. Love You Snappy

Growing up as a small child, grandpa was always there as a strong male role model and to help take care of us. If we needed food, he was there, if we needed someone to watch us after school until mom got off work, grandma and grandpa were always there. Whatever the need, we were always taken care of. They were both such a constant in my life in a time of uncertainty. My heart aches for him everyday, but I find comfort knowing that he is whole and reunited with grandma. Grandpa, you were the best! I miss you very much. Enjoy your well deserved reward.

I love you very much!

Whenever my Grandpa would come to visit, and I'd wake up early in the morning, I'd find him just laying in bed, quietly, awake. He would always want me to come lay with him and just hug him. Every time I hugged him, he would always say "Grandpa loves ya, babe". I will miss his sense of humor, his words of wisdom, and our meaningful, heartfelt conversations. I will greatly miss him, but I know that he has gone Home to collect his reward in Heaven, and I am glad to have known him and proud to have called him "Grandpa".

Uncle Harry and Aunt Polly were very special to me. I have memories that mean the world to me. Even though they were my Aunt and Uncle the hurt of their passing sting greatly. I pray they knew how much they meant to me. What other words are there to say? They both are greatly missed and Loved. Mark

There are probably not enough words to describe a guy like Uncle Harry. He was an important person in my life. As a child, I remember going with him on his 7-Up route. What an adventure! Everyone knew him! He and Aunt Polly were so very kind to my father during his last days inviting him into their home. I remember being surrounded by Uncle Harry, family and their love during my dad's passing. I will always be grateful for that kindness. Since then, I would always enjoy having breakfast with Uncle Harry each time I visited Phoenix. I will miss Uncle Harry. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Throughout the years, you were called by many names. All of these fit you perfectly.
Dad or Daddy, is what Beth and I called you. Chief or Pops was how Rick and Doug addressed you. Grandpa, Gramps, Boho, or Pappy, these are the names the grand and great-grandchildren had for you.
You were known as Harry, Uncle Harry, Cuz, Bro.Skelton or Papa Skelton and My Friend to the others in our family and the "church" family.
Although, all these names are special, the best one of all is "faithful". I know that is what the Lord has called you all these years. You have been a loving father and perfect example of a true christian.
Thank you for being such a wonderful father. It was an honor to care for you in your last months. I find comfort in knowing that you have obtained what you lived for all your life and have been reunited with mother.
I know that you will be missed by all who knew you, but, you will be forever in our hearts.
I love you, Dad.
Your daughter, Tina

Harry was married to my cousin Pollyanna. I will never forget how he used to call the house and say, "Cuz, this is Cuz". Whether he got me or the voice mail, that's what he'd say.
Harry was a wonderful example of an Apostolic Pentecostal.
Tina, Rick, Beth, Doug - I will be missing him right along with you. I love you all!

'Dad' was the best father-in-law anyone could ask for. We enjoyed his visits to our home in Kentucky. I am blessed to have been a part of his family for over 22 years. We talked quite a bit over the phone and I enjoyed his humor. We will miss him very much.

Uncle Harry, you were a very special person to me! Words will never express how I felt about you. I always looked forward to the times that you came to visit. The time that you let Michelle and I give you a pedicure and then put a clown wig on you is a very fond memory of mine. Not many uncles would let two giggly little girls do something like that! But you weren't like other uncles, you were SPECIAL!! I will miss you a ton!! I love you!! " No, I still don't have my bags packed but someday I will and will see you in heaven." Love, Taylor

Uncle Harry, there is so much to say about you. I came into this family 20 years ago today and you welcomed me with open arms. Your yearly visits to WV were something we looked so forward to. Everyone knew when Uncle Harry was around, there would be lots of fun and many laughs. There aren't too many uncles who would allow two little girls to give them a pedicure and a new hair do but you willing volunteered. Your faith was unshakable and you were an example for us all. We love you and will miss you greatly! Tina, Beth, Rick & Doug, as well as the rest of the family, the miles may seperate us all but you each have been in our prayers and will continue to be. We pray that God will bring you peace during this difficult time. Keith, Shelly, Taylor & Isaac
