Hugh Harper Obituary

Harper, Hugh "Jack"
71, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on April 29, 2011. Jack was a believer in Christ. Jack, Judy, and their children moved from Indianapolis, IN to Phoenix, AZ in 1974. Jack spent his career as a tool and die maker with Honeywell (formerly, AiResearch). Jack taught many high school students through VICA, the art of machining. Jack designed the projects that VICA contestants would craft in the state program. Jack enjoyed visiting with family and friends, and swimming. When Jack went to be with The Lord, Jack was survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Judith Harper, four children Joanna McCormick (Jim), Nancy Stocking (Brad), Jack W. Harper (Holly), and John Harper. Jack left behind 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A viewing is on Thursday, May 5th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and the funeral is on May 6th from 10:00 AM until Noon, at Best Funeral Home, 501 E. Dunlap Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85020. Jack's final resting place will be Phoenix Memorial Park, 200 West Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ.
