Phoenix - October 24, 1928 - January 3, 2021
Hugo Eugene Goad, 92 of Phoenix, AZ went to be with his heavenly father on January 3, 2021 at home under our care and Hospice of the Valley. Hugo (Hugh) was born October 24, 1928 to Brady L Goad and Roxie E (Garrett) Goad in Muncie, IN. The family moved to Fort Wayne, IN where Hugh attended Southside High School. He married Marilyn Ann O'Neil June 24, 1948. They were married 72 years. In Fort Wayne, IN he worked as a tool & die maker at Dana Corp. He and his family of 2 daughters and two sons moved to Phoenix, AZ and found a new job the next day at AiResearch/Honeywell. He worked there until his retirement. He and Marilyn also adopted a daughter in 1971. Has lived in Maryvale since 1964. He loved inventing things and tinkering around, tearing apart and putting things back together. Cars were a passion. Hugh cherished the bible and loved the Lord. His family and his faith were extremely important to him. He worked every day to bring others to know the Lord. He was a loyal friend and loved giving little gifts to all he met.
Hugh was preceded in death by his parents, Brady & Roxie Goad of IN and only sibling, his sister Jeanne Rhoads of FL. He leaves behind 5 children Cynthia Payne (Jack), Litchfield Park, AZ Sandra Shearer Phoenix, AZ, James Goad (Rania) Kingman, AZ, Timothy "Bear" Goad (Micki) Chandler, AZ, Lisa Brammer (Albert) Parker, PA. 10 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews Rhoads, Lewis's, Barley's in TX, AZ, FL, MI. Graveside services were held Jan 18, 2021 Resthaven Park Cemetery 6450 W Northern Glendale, AZ 623-939-8394 . Donations to Hospice of the Valley.

I loved my Uncle Hugh. He was always so darn nice and kind to everyone. He made you feel good just being around him. Soft spoken, never really rattled by anything or anybody. The best uncle you could hope to have in your life.
