Few people touch the lives of as many people and animals in the positive way Ira did.
We feel fortunate to have met Ira and Janice in 2012 and are eternally grateful for all each have done and continue to do to enrich our lives.
Ira had a heart of gold that shone brightly through the twinkle in his eyes. The wisdom and kindness that he routinely bestowed on us are two of the greatest gifts we've ever received. We trust his indomitable spirit will sustain all who are affected by his passing.

My condolences to the family &friends. Ira was my next door neighbor for many years and a friend for many more years. Although we did not spend any time hanging out together ,it was always great to see him out and about at different venues .He always had a friendly hello for me . He will be missed but not forgotten. RIP Ira...

Ever since that day in 1958 when you pulled that fugly swimming pool blue truck into Thomas' to sell me tack, you have been my salami sandwich 'go to' guy. We built a LOT of memories in the past 60 years. "It ain't gonna rain no more, no more". Last week you drained the color out of this world. The godfather of OTTB is trading over the Rainbow Bridge now. See you soon, Buddy. Lunch at Costco on me. Walt

Ira has special place in my heart. He would always come check on me at the shows, really checking in on my 1 tb that I have had for 18yrs. Always would tell me how special he was, which I knew very well. Than try to sell me some tack and finally another horse. One of kind. So sorry for the loss of this great man. Thinking of you all.

Ira was a great force in the Arizona hunter jumper world, and I can remember going to his barn several times with my hunter trainer and friends to look at horses he had for sale. In fact, my bff still has the horse she bought from Ira many years ago. He will be sadly missed by many in the equestrian community.

Ira was a force of nature. I knew him for 40 years and I will truly miss his no-nonsense style of doing business. He wanted to make people happy with their purchase. He was an amazing horseman and contributed so much to the thoroughbred horse racing industry by re-homing horses after their careers were over. Ira, you will be missed and I'm sure you're selling God a horse as we speak! Love to his family and friends.
