James Beauchamp Obituary

James Beauchamp

On Wednesday, June 16, 2021, James Beauchamp, loving father of two, passed away at the age of thirty-three. After battling depression and chronic pain for many years, he succumbed to these afflictions. James was born on February 14, 1988, in Phoenix, AZ, to David and Kay Beauchamp.

James served honorably in the US Army from 2008-2011. Injuries sustained in the Army left him a disabled Veteran. After his discharge, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Grand Canyon University with a BS in Psychology and then completed his Master's in Counseling at Regis University. In his personal life and his profession, he was passionate about helping others suffering from mental health problems and was a vocal advocate for men's and children's mental health.

James will be remembered for being an amazing and dedicated father and a fiercely loyal friend to many. He always welcomed any friend in need into his home and made himself readily available to anyone who needed someone to listen. In recent years, he made his home in Colorado Springs where he loved hiking through nature with his children and dogs.

James was preceded in death by his grandparents and his beloved dog, Jobey. He is survived by his children Davian and Aceline, their mother Jenni Anne Zeman, his brother Robert, his twin sister Barbara, his parents, and his dogs Buck and Buddha.

A funeral mass will be held on July 1st at 10 am at Our Lady of the Angels Church at the Franciscan Renewal Center in Scottsdale, AZ.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mission22 or the Crisis Text Line.
