Jan Rassas Obituary

Rassas, Jan Marie
Jan Marie Rassás passed away peacefully in Scottsdale, Arizona on July 30. Jan's final days were spent surrounded by family, heartfelt sharing and joy. Jan's kindness, inspiration and integrity were truly contagious making everyone want to perform to their highest level. Born in Robbinsdale, Minnesota in 1941, she moved with her family to Bakersfield where she later found her true love, Isaac. She and Isaac shared 54 glorious years until his passing in 2014. Jan spent her life dedicated to helping others find happiness through travel. She was engaged in the travel industry for the past 48 years where she worked side by side with Isaac to build a business that helped so many enjoy experiences - making lifelong memories and many friends along the way. Jan also worked for American Express, teaching and training so many that would go on to pursue great travel careers and adding to her network of incredible friends and extended family. Jan had a presence of unwavering integrity and honesty and a heart that was just as big, which could be seen in her love and compassion for animals. Jan had several beloved dogs throughout the years that she loved immensely and now joins in Heaven. Her beautiful soul was one of a kind and evident in her tremendous generosity and sincere care and concern for others. The impact Jan had on so many countless lives is immeasurable. She will be greatly missed by all who crossed paths with her in this lifetime. However, her legacy will live on as those who knew her will continue to be inspired by her unwavering virtues and love. And her family and friends will continue to feel her spirit among us as she was one who never wanted to miss out on time spent with loved ones. Jan is survived by her son Jeffrey (wife Debi), granddaughters Jourdan Parker (husband Adam), Hayden Wolven (husband Chris), great grandson Cash, brother David Miller (wife Kathy), sister Laurie Leach and nieces Jennifer Miller and Kimberly Martinez. A celebration of Jan's life will be held on September 23 at 2 p.m. at Scottsdale First Church of the Nazarene, located at 2340 N. Hayden Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sojourner Center where Jan worked and helped so many. Donations can be sent directly to 2330 E. I needed you JAN and you gave me your all! You comforted me in your sickness and shared your knowledge to help me through our journey! In turn I decided to share all the TV shows I watched since we've become shut ins. Well... JAN had more TV shows than all the networks! Boy did we laugh about that Oh I will miss your laughter JAN. I'm so fortunate and grateful to have known you! So now when I look up to the sky at night and see that shiny twinkle..... It's you!!! It's Your Big Beautiful Blue Eyes Sparkling!! Thank you Jan for your Love!!!!
