Jane Bryan Obituary

Jane Lisabeth Bryan of Phoenix, Arizona lost her heroic fight with cancer, Wednesday afternoon, April 14th at the age of 53. Jane was a much-loved English teacher, molding young lives at Cactus High School for 22 years. Many beloved friends and family will cherish memories of her forever. Jane is survived by her beloved husband Warren, a Captain for the Phoenix Fire Department; her son Eric Bryan, wife Jody and their son, Joel, currently serving as Director of Military Community Youth Ministries in Naples, Italy; her daughter Karina is an adjunct art professor and artist and resides here in Phoenix; and her brother, Jim Thompson, Superintendent for Chuska Sahara in Phoenix. A memorial service was held at 4:30 PM on Friday, April 16, 2004 at the Open Door Fellowship Church, 8301 N. 19th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85021. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the name of Jane Bryan to the Fire Fighter's Union, 61 E. Columbus, Phoenix, AZ 85012.

Mrs. Bryan was an inspiration to me through all 4 years at Cactus High School. She helped me believe in myself in a way that no other teacher could. When ever you needed an ear or a shoulder she was there. You will be dearly missed. I know that there is another special angel watching over us.

Jane was a very special person and everyone who works at Mountain Vista Health and Wellness will remember her vibrant spirit and infectious smile. We always enjoyed her visits and will miss her very much. She was a true beauty and wonderful person.
