72 died peacefully on April 3, 2015, in Scottsdale, Arizona, after a valiant struggle with pancreatic cancer. Jane was born in Newark, New Jersey, to Harry and Evelyn Potter, both predeceased. Jane was an adoring wife and a loving mother and doting grandmother. She is survived and celebrated in memory by her husband of 31 years, Jean-Georges Poucel, brother, Randy Potter, four children: Beth Hilliard of New Egypt, NJ, Genevieve Poucel of Colorado Springs, CO, Jean-Jacques Poucel of Calgary, Canada, and Royce Magnusson of Boston, MA; and four grandchildren: Emily Gohde, Oliver Magnusson, Anders Magnusson and Jules Poucel. Her son, Gregory Singer, predeceased her. A "Jersey girl with New Yorker sensibilities" as she liked to say. Jane lived in Denver, CO, for over 30 years where she became an accomplished and respected commercial real estate broker and developer. She continued her successful career when she moved to Scottsdale, acting as principal on a number of commercial development projects. An avid traveler with an insatiable curiosity about history and culture, she traveled the world with her loving husband to exotic places. Jane always looked forward to her regular Pinnacle Peak hikes, formed the Troon North ladies 9-hole golf league, volunteered at Hospice of the Valley and was involved in many philanthropic endeavors. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 11:00AM at Pinnacle Peak Mortuary (www.messingermortuary.com). Following the services there will be a private entombment for family. In lieu of flowers, memorials in the name of Jane Poucel may be made to the Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E Flower St, Phoenix, AZ 85014.
