Thinking about you a bunch today, Jimmy. And the other day I looked at photos of our Grand Canyon trip -- Nate had so much fun! You were a great uncle -- and brother. I'll see you on the other side. Love always, Les.

To Jim's Family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you as we struggle to deal with this horrible accident. I know the pain you are all in because I feel it to. Craig Smith was my big brother. Everyone says that it gets easier with time but it seems to get harder. I did not know Jim but I know he was a good man with a great sence of humor just like my big brother. You will remain forever in my heart and prayers. God bless you all.

Our Jim as a baby. Beautiful then and now.

Our beautiful brother Jimmy. We love you so very, very much.

Jim was one of a kind. My husband worked with Jim at Channel 3. Jim was one of the best photographers we have seen in a long time. He felt is work. He had an eye for the best pictures and he made music with them. Jim will be missed by all who knew him. We have lost a co-worker and good friend. I can just see him telling God that He didn't paint the sunset right. He is with the Lord watching over all of us. I was so impressed when the hawks were released back into the wild in honor of Jim and Scott. It was a beautiful sight. We could picture Jim taking pictures as the hawks were soring on the wind currents. Our prayers and prayers are with you. God speed Jim and we will see you soon. We all love and miss you.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way...

Only God knows why he does what he does but take confort that you shared Jimmy whit him and eventually you will be together one day and for now he's watching over you. May God confort and give you peace and courage to get trough this.

Dear Jim and Susie,
The Kindness, Friendship, and Love you share is a true inspiration.
Susann: You have blessed everyone’s life more than you know. When Jim came into your life, I knew that you had been equally blessed with somebody as special as you. I cannot express enough my sorrow for your pain. You lost your soul mate and best friend. Please find some peace, that you filled Jim’s last chapter with happiness and true love.
Jim: Thank you for showing my dear friend true happiness. You shared an incredible bond which will never be broken. Both of you have the same loving heart. Your Susie will never forget or stop loving you.

Thank you for being our friend and sharing your life with us!
All Our Love,

My family and I extend sincere condolences on the loss of 3TV and ABC 15's crews in the tragic accident of July 27. Our hearts go out to all who cared about them: their immediate and extended families and personal circles of friends and colleagues.

Since I have not lived in the Phoenix metro area for a number of years, I did not know Scott or Jim, nor ABC15's Craig; but I do know people who live in the area and have respected their work (either as viewers or colleagues) and those who have had the honor of calling them friends. I feel fortunate that I got to know Rick Krolak during his first few years at KTVK (my last years at the station), and have sweet memories of our connection. During the past few days, via personal tributes, on-air stories and the touching memorial services, I got a very good sense of the spirit and passion the other gentlemen possessed. I also realize what they meant to all whose lives they touched. It would have been an honor to know each one of them. The newest stars make the heavens even brighter.

Wishing peace and healing to everyone...

I was having lunch at a Flagstaff restaurant where they have tv's in every booth and watch the whole services for your son and in my heart I felt the pain the family must have been going through. I didn't know Jimmy personally, but I too have a son his age and I can not imigine the pain. But God is an awesome God and He will comfort you as parents and the whole family. You have a wonderful family and I will always remember what his father said about "I love you" at the end of his conversation with you guys on the phone, because when my son calls that is how we end our conversations and I will always cherish that. May God Bless you and your family.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I watch Channel 3 morning and night and feel like part of the family. My son is a captain in the marines and is a helicopter pilot. I had the great pleasure of meeting Jim last spring when Bruce Haffner took my son up in his helicopter for the morning news show. Jim was the photographer that morning and I have a picture of him talking to my son. I even took chocolate chip cookies to him and Bruce which delighted Jim. I feel like I lost a son along with you. His memory will last forever. I hope you can find peace in your hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

We love you very, very much. Please let us be here for you in the coming weeks, months and years, like you have unselfishly done for us. My heartfelt sympathies are extended to all those that knew Jim Cox. Here is a poem that has meant a lot to me in the past....hope it helps you.

For Those I Love,
For Those Who Love Me

When I am gone release me, let me go
I have so many things to see and do
You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears
Be happy that we had a few years.

I gave you my love, you can only guess
How much you gave me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown,
But now it's time I travelled on alone.

So grieve awhile for me, if grieve you must
Then let your grief be comforted by trust
It's only for awhile that we must part
So bless the memories that lie within your heart.

I won't be far away, for life goes on
So if you need me, call and I will come
Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near.

And if you listen with your heart you'll hear
All my love around you soft and clear
And then when you must come this way alone
I'll greet you with a smile and say
"Welcome Home"

Uncle, you will be missed dearly. I will never forget my first (and last) motorcyle ride on the back of your bike through the streets of Tempe! You were at your best when you were moving fast and having fun. I am truly blessed to have known you. I regret the years that have gone by without keeping in touch. If I get nothing else out of this tragedy, I have learned to cherish my friends and family and to keep them close. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Having suffered the sudden death of my mother, I truly empathize with Jim Cox's family. It's clear from the obituary how much his sisters loved him and how hard it was to write. While you won't get over it, you will, in time, come to look with love at his life well lived. Sorrow will become distant, although the loss will always exist. You had a fun, intelligent, hard-working son & brother. He was and will always be a credit to his family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

May you find comfort and peace in
knowing that your beloved son is now in God's house... in paradise. I would like to share a short poem that was sent to me when our only son passed away on 4/11/07...
"A wife who loses a husband is called a widow. A husband who loses a wife is called a widower. A child who loses his parents is called an orphan. But in Yiddish they say there is no word for a parent who loses a child. That's how awful the loss is." ---Joy Neugeboren taken from "Forever Remembered"
As I told our only daughter who is missing her younger brother terribly
I do not believe that there is a word for a sibling who losses a sibling either.
God Bless and Keep you and your beautiful family.
