Jim Paul Obituary

Paul, Jim
Our beloved cowboy, known as Big Daddy, passed away peacefully at the age of 100 on March 13, 2013. Jim was known in the Valley for his professional accomplishments including Rawhide, Mountain Shadows Resort, Carefree Inn and Ranch, Boulders, Desert Mountain, White Mountain Country Club, Verde Vaqueros, first president of The Boys Club, builder of thousands of homes in the valley and still to this day runs cattle in Rio Verde. However, he is most known for his strong faith, story telling, horseracing, fishing trips and how he inspired everyone around to be the best they could be in life. He is survived by his two daughters, Penny Spray and Victoria Walker, 6 grandchildren (Jim, Paul & Tori Spray and Stephanie, Craig & Paul Walker) and 9 great-grandchildren. All who had the opportunity to know Jim walked away a better person to have known him. At Jim's request, private services with his immediate family will be held out at sea.

Rest in Peace, Big Daddy. Penny and Vicky, I know that you're always too young to be orphans. I am so grateful to you for making Uncle Jim's 100th birthday so special for him and the whole extended family.

I'm a visitor on the south rim and read in today's paper about Jim. Even tho we never met, I'm touch, moved and inspired about the man. Thank you.
