Frank and I are sending sincerest sympathy to the whole Gilchrist family, especially our son-in-law John III. I met John II on several occasions when I lived in Arizona, usually at a cook out were his son John was firing up the grill...So many great recipes! He was there when Alex and RJ were born and supported the rest of the family when Rachel was involved in a terrible accident suffering a TBI on July 3, 2006. I saw his picture on FB when he was at the hospital to welcome little DJ the first of the 4th generation. He will be missed by family and friends. RIP John.

To the family: Be courageous and strong. When your strength is gone and endurance tested. Do not suffer shock or be terrified for God is with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9) With deepest sympathy.

I am very sorry to hear about John, he was my boss when I got my first job at Village Inn on Thomas Rd, I was still going to West High at the time. John taught me many lessons that have been valuable throughout my life and career. I have always remembered him fondly, he was a great guy. Rest in Peace.
