Jon Poston Obituary

Poston, Jon A.
age 74, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2009 in Cave Creek, AZ. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharon; his children: Jon O., Alicia, Jane (Jason), and Rob; and grandchildren: Jon D., Brooke, Amanda, Brian, Jacob and Jackson. Jon served as Executive Director for the Arizona Competition in Telephone Service (ACTS) and volunteered heavily with AARP. He was also a Deacon and an Elder in his church. His family was his pride and joy and they will miss him dearly. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at 10:30am at Desert Hills Presbyterian Church, 34605 N. Tom Darlington Rd., Carefree, AZ 85377.

I had the pleasure of working with Jon for several years at the Arizona Corporation Commission. If I had known then, that I would soon leave government for broadcasting, I would have taken advantage of Jon's vast knowledge of the industry. My best wishes to the family.

I worked with Jon for many years at the ACC. I will remember fondly his great sense of humor and the love and passion he had for his family. My deepest condolences...he will be missed.
